Realistically, how would that be done? There's dozens of companions, and somebody would be starting a whining petition of their favorite companion was missed out in favor of someone else.

And who do you classify as companion? Take Three for example. He has three official companions - Liz Shaw, Sarah Jane Smith, and Useless. But what about his UNIT comrades? The Brig, Benton, and the others. How would one leave the Brig out?

For One, do you include ALL his companions, even those whose stories aren't surviving (Sarah Kingdom) but they only did one story anyway?

Do you include Kamelion with Five?

I'm still hoping for a Bride Donna figure. But I'm probably the only one.

That, and for Eight to get his own individual release.

I actually like the idea of Companion sets. But only the ones that travelled together. Harry and Sarah Jane, Tegan, Nyssa, and Adric, etc.
And how about some black and white era companions while we're at it? I'd love a Susan, Ian, and Barbera set. And Jamie and Zoey goes without saying.

RTD and Moffat double pack, RTD with battle damage and Moff with a giant alien gun thing that destroyed RTD.
 
A Doctor Who chess set made up of the action figures. Daleks are black's pawns. The Master is the Queen (snicker), and Davros is king. Two Cybermen as knights. Two Sontarans as bishops. Yeti and/ or Ice Warriors as rooks. Alternative:

Daleks as rooks, Sontarans as pawns; Ice Warriors and/or Yeti as bishops, Cybermen as knights.

For White: The Doctor is King and Queen. The two Romanas as rooks. UNIT soldiers as pawns. The Brigadier is a knight. Captain Jack is a knight. Sarah Jane and K9 as bishops.

Interchangeable Doctors so you can change up which Doctors serve as King and Queen. Ditto with the Masters.

While I'm inclined to think there'll be a single release of the Eighth Doctor, I also wouldn't be surprised if there isn't or that he'll come out only in another box set. From the perspective of Character Options, a really sought-after exclusive figure is one sure way to make it sell...
 
^ I'm waiting for Eight as well. Heck, I'd even spring for a TV Movie set including Eight, Seven and their F.C. TARDIS.
 
I think a companion boxset would be kinda cool too.. but in a series of them.. 1-3 (Ian, Barbara, Susan) (Jaime, Zoey, Victoria) (Liz Shaw, Jo Grant, Sarah Jane Smith).. etc..etc..

Another one is the Three Doctors set:

1. Omega
2. 1-3 Docs
3. Brigadier
4. Jo
5. Benton
6. Omega's creations X2
7. Time lord coordinator
8. Time lord energy specialist
9. build a set, Omega's Singularity chamber, on the other side is his stairs and throne room, with vid screen
10. Build a set 2, Time lord control centre..(chair, screen with seen from the 3 doctors)

classics aside, I am still hoping that CO does a 4th series Tardis boxset..

donna noble, sontars, the adiposes, davros, supreme dalek, a giant bug and asian lady, or the pyro-monolith centurion..

it would sure make the space issues I have easier to cope with.. box sets are the best IMO..

take out a figure and display what you want, then pack them back up and slide on the shelf in one contained box, and switch to another, etc.. etc..

as a collector it would be much better for me to get large slender box sets of the classic series characters then buying one box set or figure at a time, and then not being able to repackage them is an issue for me as well....

so the series 1, 2, and 3 christmas boxsets were genius, though I do not own any yet, they are an item I am much interested in purchasing in the future.

My one hope is that Character Options decides to do a 1st doctor set, 2nd, and so on.. which includes the most popular companions, and villains from the classics all the way up, and then re-releases the first 3 current series boxsets (mainly because of the improved sculpted figures that have since come out).

then I could have 12 box sets on a book shelf, with 11 figures each, and on another shelf, rebooted series 1, 2, 3, and 4 christmas boxswet re-release with the best sculpted figures from the Daleks and Slethene to the clock work soldiers, and donna noble..

then a 5th series matt smith boxset..

the 5 docs, and 3 docs special series and whoa! I would be set! DVD's, and comics of doctor who, and I have the best shrine to my favourite sci-fi series ever! all in neat and wonderful box sets on my shelf, which I can open and display and replace and trade depending on which mood and DVD series I am exploring that month or year..

well that is my fantatical dream anyhow.. :D
 
I think it would be cool to have an Alternate/evil Doctors set, or something like that. The Valeyard, Dream Lord, the Watcher and the Shalka Doctor (They made a webcast version of Colin Baker's Doctor, why not the Shalka one?). It'd probably be an exclusive, but aren't all the classic ones exclusives now?


a City of Death set would be cool. We don't have Tom in that jacket yet, and it could come with Romana and Scaroth.


I'm curious why they never came out with a Dalek emperor, considering they have other 'big' creatures like the Reapers, Racnoss and the Face of Boe. Perhaps the large scales didn't sell well?
