WYNONNA EARP: Season Four

Can't find a thread about the new season, so I guess I have to start one.

It's a been a long twenty-two months of hiatus, but I'm really enjoying the new season so far. The quips are twists and flying fast and furious, although I'm glad I checked out a five-minute recap video on YouTube before watching the season premiere a few weeks ago. I confess I had completely forgotten that Waverly was half-angel and that Doc Holliday is now a vampire . . .

Anybody else I watching? I loved that this week's ep hinged on a life-or-death chili cookoff, and snickered when the dominatrix called herself "Portia Control." :)

Loving the new season so far, and I can't help but notice that they appear to have lowered their restrictions on skin and swearing.
I was a little surprised by how much skin we saw during Waverly and Nicole's reunion. Not that I was bothered by it, I just wasn't expecting it.
I'm very curious to find out who and what the crazy ass Magistrate is, and how she's connected to the Earps.
It looks like Jonathan has moved up a bit in BBD since the last time we saw him.
I'm definitely expecting Eve to pop back up again at some point. Her whole role in the first episode felt like to big of a set up for just that one appearance. Maybe she's the Magistrate?

Hmm. It hadn't occurred to me that the Magistrate might be Eve, but then Eve IS a shapechanger.

And Wynonna was expecting to deal with Eve again somewhere down the road. She's definitely unfinished business.

Or it maybe the Magistrate, who was identified as "Cleo" in the closed-captioned, is related to Bobo Del Rey somehow. His long-lost daughter or something?

Oh, I can't remember: Is there a reason why Doc seems to be able to walk about freely during the day, despite being a vampire these days?
 
He just does. I just rewatched the last season, and I don't think they addressed it.
 
Just watched last night's ep. Aha, so THAT'S why Cleo hates Wynonna so much.

No spoilers, but that's a clever twist that, like the best twists, seems inevitable in retrospect.

I just watched the episode this morning, and that was the impression I got.
It looked like Margo had another one of the things that Billy pulled out of his mouth in the jar that she used on Nicole. I'm guess it must allow her to control them or something.
Another thing that caught my attention was her referring to herself as the Clanton Heir, so it sounds like she's basically an evil Wynonna.
This was definitely not the explanation I expected for who Cleo and Holt are.
 
I felt so scared for Wynonna when the reaper was after her. We don’t normally see her that afraid. Doc was so sweet. “I am here, my love.”
 
Good mid-season finale. Looks like the rift between Wynonna and Doc Holliday may be the engine powering the back half of the season. Here's hoping that don't end this season on a cliffhanger, given how long we had to wait for this season.
 
I'm curious where if Cleo or someone else will be our big bad for the back half. She's the last Clanton, but I don't know how much of a threat she'd be without Mam and her brother to back her up. I'm still expecting Eve to pop up at some point. She feels like way to big of a character to disappear after just one appearance, especially since they just tossed her through a portal and didn't actually kill her.
 
Cleo doesn’t scream Big Bad to me but we’ll see. It was awesome seeing Waverly kill Mam with her angel powers!

WayHaught are finally engaged!

Wynonna and Doc breaking up makes me sad.

I barely understood this season but it sure was entertaining!
