What website/magazine should I submit my original fiction short stories to?

Hello fellow writers!!!

I have a short fiction story that I'd like to submit for publication in a newspaper/website/magazine, but I'm not sure where to begin my search. It's a science fiction/horror story in the vein of Lovecraftian/Eldritch horror, but I'm pretty sure Strange Tales and other such pulp magazines don't exist anymore. In the early 21st century, AKA modern day, where do science fiction and horror authors submit their works for publication? If I can get the ball rolling I'll probably try to submit more work over time. Any leads or information would be helpful. Thanks!

Have you had any experience doing writing. Be careful. Do research on how to do this. Publishers likely have a process for this, especially if you are a "nobody"" to them.

I used to read Analog, way back when it was an actual magazine in the 80's.

It still is. I've had thirteen stories published in Analog since 1998, and I'm looking at my author copies of all thirteen print issues right in front of me as I type this. The only significant difference between the '80s and now is that it's now edited by Trevor Quachri (Stanley Schmidt retired in 2012) and comes out bimonthly instead of monthly (but has longer issues to compensate). Oh, and that it has a digital version as well as a print version.

I was assuming they had gone digital only, but cool that there is still a print version.
