Anyone ever heard of this Jon Pertwee show?

It's new to me. I imagine as its a quiz show it's pure rubbish.

I remember it - it was actually pretty good. it wasn't so much a quiz show as an observation show, with the panellists/contestants having to solve the crime based on what they had seen.

Now go see if you can find some Masterspy, with William Franklyn, for a good giggle about 70s game shows in the UK...

I think I've read about it. Its a show he hosted right after he left Who.

Looks like an interesting idea.

It's a good job I've spent all my cash this month, otherwise I would have ordered it already. Maybe next month.

The fact that I'm old enough to remember the last couple of series of this makes me feel very sad...

Now who remembers Tom Baker and "The Book Tower"?

Don't remember the Book Tower was it on ITV? I couldn't bare the though of seeing Magpie so alsways had it on BBC1.

Ah, that was a good show, at least to start with. (ISTR they messed with the formula after the first couple of seasons, and had a different presenter)

I loved Whodunnit. I watch every episode. I will buy now i know its on DVd.

If I remember correctly the contestants could see one scene again and could ask any of the characters a certain amount of questions about what happened. Then they had to state who the guilty party was.

Dave or BBC 2 should bring this back.

The first season, which I have just purchased off Amazon UK, was hosted by Edward Woodward. i don't think this was aired in Australia as I only remember Jon Pertwee as host.

The second season has sold out and is only available as a price that is too high for me. i will buy season 3 when it is released. Hopefully season 4 to 6 will eventually be released.

I would love it if a new series was made.

Edited to add - That is a young Steven Pacey in the video. A few years before he was in Blake's 7. IMDB doesn't list this appearance on his
filmography.
