Where Are Dr. McCoy's Brandy Glasses Available For Purchase?

I'm looking for where to buy a set of Dr. McCoy's Brandy Glasses. There's a great shot of them in "The Corbomite Maneuver" at time index 15:21 to 15:26. I think they're also seen in "The Conscience of the King." Or you can search Google Images for "Dr. McCoy's Brandy Glasses."

Does anyone know of a collectibles website that sells them? I found a webpage for props, but that won't work because they're not for sale.

We see the cobalt-blue brandy glasses a few times: "The Corbomite Maneuver," "The Enemy Within," "The Conscience of the King," "Court Martial," and "Journey to Babel."

To my knowledge, original 1960's brandy glasses of this style have never been located. However, there is a gentleman who has gone to some glassworkers to have exact copies produced. They weren't cheap to purchase from him, and they might be even more expensive now--if they are still available at all.

You will want to drop an e-mail to Mr. Roger Romage at trekclassic@hotmail.com. He can tell you if he has any more of these brandy glasses in stock. (Tell him Greg Schnitzer sent you.)

Thanks much, Greg! He doesn't, but says they have had a lot of requests for them and are considering revisiting that project.

I love your work. :)

Not to sound snooty, but I think those are better suited to a cordial or liqueur than brandy.

I believe proper brandy should be served in a snifter that can be cupped in the hand to slightly warm the liquid (no candles or other flames, please). And a snifter does a better job of focusing the aromas, and displaying the tears/legs when swirling the liquid.

And now back to your regularly scheduled thread. :o

I think often, odd or out-of-context stuff was used to make things alien or futuristic on Star Trek. I think these were probably "dessert glasses" originally.
