What's your favourite Firefox add-on?

I don't take advantage of add-ons enough, so thought it'd be good if we could all post our top number oen must-have add-on.

Let's avoid talk of ad blocking add-ons, as some people will use this an excuse to get political. They exist, let's talk about other add-ons.

Mine: IETab. It allows me to use sites that require Internet Explorer, like Microsoft Exchange Webmail. I can do so within the Firefox browser so it's very convenient. You can either switch to the IE engine, or just tell IETab to always open certain sites within the IE engine.

What's yours?

I like downthemall . . . say if someone posts 100 pictures of the filming model of the original Battlestar Galactica you can just fire up the addon and choose to download all the linked images rather than right click>save as etc on all of them

there was one that I had way back in FF1, Gmail Notifier, that has a little icon in the status bar at the bottom right that would throw up a popup (like the 'all downloads finished' popup) when a new message arrived
I haven't bothered to find out if they updated it for FF2 or FF3

I don't really use any other addons, because I like how my firefox runs just fine :D

Functionality: Foxmarks (bookmarks sync - I have several computers between work and home)

Appearance: Glasser - (vista or win7 only) - it makes the entire upper portion of the FF toolbar transparent (like in IE) for better visual integration with the rest of Vista/Aero

download Statusbar - instead of opening the download manager every time I download something, I instead like to keep it in the lower statusbar to reduce the clutter

Hey, glad to know about IE Tab! I'm going to try that with my financial site that requires IE!

DownThemAll and the Download Statusbar are GREAT, especially the Download Statusbar. Firefox's downloads window is slow to open and a bit of an energy hog. The DlSb is much more efficient.

I have a few others, but those are the only ones I really like.

It still works.

I'd have to say that NoScript is my favorite.

NoScript, AdBlock Plus (which of course I don't use on this site :shifty:) and Fast Video Downloader, which works for everything (so far) from my home machine, even youtube.
I seem to have UnPlug, but I can't remember installing that and not sure what it does.

Besides NoScript (which I reckon is the single most useful FF add-on), I like Session Manager, FEBE and Clippings. :bolian:

I suppose the one I always install first is Mouse Gestures Redox.

Others that I really like are Flashblock, PDF Download, Tab Mix Plus, ForecastFox and Permit Cookies.

Flashblock's damned handy for keeping unwanted Flash animations at bay and I'm rather fond of Tabmix Plus, Googlebar Lite and Download Statusbar.
