hi TrekBBS. In my newest Future Imperfect Newsletter, I begin to look at Roddenberry and the humanist philosophy that underlies Star Trek. I argue that it's not a perfect fit, but that Roddenberry is part of a humanist tradition that goes back a very long way. The humanist thread that runs through Star Trek is established in particular ways in TOS and then creators played with destabilizing and challenging it over the the second 25 years of Star Trek.

I would love it if you had thoughts about this and wanted to weigh in. I also discuss The Search For Spock in this issue.

Hi,

I’ve spoken to our head Admin, and we agree that it seems you only post to promote your work elsewhere on the internet. Your comic book (which was already an issue) and these newsletters.

This site is designed for discussion of topics here, not to promote work somewhere else.

I’m closing this thread and asking that you don’t post these links anymore. If you have a discussion topic for here, that’s fine.
