What was in the note that Kalinda left for "spoilers"?

...for Alicia in this week's episode of "The Good Wife"? :vulcan:

Personally, I can see her telling Alicia that she was leaving the firm to work with DSI Stella Gibson in Belfast. ;)

At least they didn't kill Kalinda off. :sigh:

Several reviews of the show bemoaned the fact that this was the 50th ep where the two former best friends did not share a single on-screen scene. :brickwall:

Here's looking at you, kid.

I was guessing the note was a simple, heartfelt goodbye and thank you to Alicia, including only a simple, vague explanation something like, 'things are getting too hot here'. The less Alicia knows about Kalinda's plans & whereabouts, the safer it will be for each them. Alicia would understand, even given the limited 'tip-of-the-iceberg-only' glimpse she had into Kalinda's past.

Sorry to see Kalinda go (for good?), and I was telling my wife when Kalinda was alone in the apartment with Alicia's daughter, "Something bad is going to happen in the next 15 minutes", fearing that she had been followed and there was going to be a hit carried out on her at the apartment, perhaps even injuring Grace. I am thankful that the writers did not give us that outcome.

She was -for so much of the series- such a very capable and perhaps even potentially dangerous (should the situation call for it!) individual. It has become so odd (and even uncomfortable) to see her as a much more vulnerable character this season as Bishop pulled her closer into his dangerous web, and as the authorities investigating the election irregularities close in on her.

I will miss her. I have enjoyed Archie Panjabi and her portrayal of Kalinda.

You are probably right. :techman:

The Note said: I was sleeping with Will too.

And you are evil, Guy, although I expected you to suggest Kalinda's note said: I slept with the wrong Florrik.

At least Alicia got a note... all Cary got was a brush.

My mom is the bigger fan of the show than I, although she stopped watching a couple of seasons ago. When I told her Kalinda was leaving, her response was "but she's half the show!" :wtf:

"Was" being the operative word, in Good Wife fandom.

The note said "I can't believe they dragged this stupid state's attorney plotline out all season long for nothing. Bye."

Well, we found out what was in that note and it had nothing to do with Zach. Thank god. :techman:

Unfortunately for me, the 2 hour finale of OUaT was opposite the Good Wife finale. Fortunately for me I caught the last half of the Kalinda/Alicia tete e tete since the commercials weren't synched between the two networks. :bolian:

I went looking for recaps to see what I missed and laughed at the rampant speculation that in their finale scene together, the 2 actresses weren't "together" when it was shot.:vulcan:

Hmmm.

And they say we Trekkies are bad when it comes to overanalyzing each ep. :rommie:

ETA: Why someone hasn't made a video of her with this song is beyond me.

I liked how one reviewer said Kalinda worships at the Church of Nancy Sinatra.

Why do we like Kalinda?

Cuz she gets away with stuff we only fantasize about doing.

The final scene with Alicia and Kalinda.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VnLJi71LN1I

I don't know what they're talking about when they say the actresses aren't in the scene "together". There are a couple of 2 person shots "front on" which are obviously not body doubles.

I'm glad Kalinda didn't say "I loved you" as she left, since in reality the person she loved was an Alicia 2 years ago. This one she was talking to only held a remembrance of that Alicia.

"Lets make her look cool"

"Yeah, cool."

"How about a $200 pair of sun glasses."

"Yeah, that's cool."

"So, so cool."

"Um, but at home looking inside the TV how do you tell the difference between a $200 pair of sun glasses and a 50 cent pair of sun glasses from the flea market?"

"Shut up, they're just cool, they are."

Gonna miss Kalinda. :(

Yup.:weep:

"Why are you burning it?"

"Because I don't want you to have it."

Good bye, Mr. Lester.

Supposedly someone once asked the director of the Moulin Rouge why he spent so much money on petticoats that the public never saw? He replied, because the women wearing them knew how much money they cost and it gave them an extra je ne sais quoi to their performance.

Those shots look a lot like split screen trickery. The two actresses likely shot the scene separately and then they used computer magic to awkwardly make it appear that they're together. I noticed it in last week's episode too during the flashback to the two of them in a bar.

Actors not getting along is nothing new, but the fued between these two is pretty exceptional if they couldn't even work together for one last scene.

Here's an article on the Alicia/Kalinda conspiracy

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...h-other-inside-the-alicia-kalinda-conspiracy/

If they truly are at odds with one another, the actresses, then I'm amazed they could keep as tight a lid on it as they have.

And if they truly are at odds with one another, it once again makes me thank the acting gods that Mulgrew and Ryan didn't let their own emotions color their work on Voyager.

I can't imagine 2 years of THAT show without Janeway and Seven in the same scene.

I wonder if it was something else that pushed the Actress/Producer's buttons when it came to Alicia/Kalinda.

Perhaps she feared her character was too dependent upon Kalinda and that she had to walk away from that relationship to become more powerful in her own right?

Nah.

I don't buy it either.

"We're all just one big happy family."

Well, the video conspiracy theorists were right about last year's finale.

The two actresses were NOT in the same room at the same time.

http://www.cnn.com/2015/10/05/enter...ulies-archie-panjabi-feud-thr-feat/index.html

You know... my daddy used to say it was always better to tell the truth, since it was easier to remember a truth than a lie.

Looks like Archie has already neatly skewered the "Archie was busy filming 'The Fall' excuse" on twitter that Julianna tried to float. :alienblush:

Previously Archie had merely reported she didn't know why they decided to film it as they did.

http://www.ew.com/article/2015/05/27/archie-panjabi-reacts-her-final-kalinda-alicia-good-wife-scene

In searching for stuff on the final scene... I laughed at Ausiello's fervent hope for the SERIES finale's final scene.

http://tvline.com/2015/05/15/good-w...nale-scene-julianna-margulies-archie-panjabi/

And here in lies the crux of the problem that Julianna created for herself. By not filming the scene "straight", she begets the questions about "why did they do that?" And the answers she's giving... that ARCHIE was too busy (denied by the actress) or that ALICIA shouldn't have to bother with a character that slept with her husband, make no sense with regards to the actual filming.

The only thing that makes sense is the two actresses are not getting on for some reason, so Ausiello and the rest of the Alicia - Kalinda fan base shouldn't hold their breath waiting for a "final" acknowledgement of the bond between the characters in the series finale. :klingon:

Julianna did bring up a good question, would we be as invested if it was 2 men portraying these characters... and for me the answer is "yes". :vulcan:

The problem is... the issue wasn't the way she explained it in the interview.

Kalinda, her "best friend", didn't sleep with Alicia's husband.

Her husband slept with a woman Alicia didn't know, someone she met later, someone her character purposely forged a relationship with.

Rather than explain Alicia's animosity by blaming the bedroom betrayal, Julianna should have simply focused upon the lie of omission that Kalinda told Alicia every day of their friendship.

Of course, had Julianna said that it wouldn't have explained why they shot the scene with the two actresses in separate rooms.

This story is like that ST: TNG episode "Clues", where the answers don't line up and it forces us to ask more questions.

http://en.memory-alpha.wikia.com/wiki/Clues_(episode)

Here's to hoping the cast and crew of "The Good Wife" haven't somehow come into contact with "the Paxans" like the Enterprise D did. ;)

It sounds horrible, but I think I would have preferred a final scene with Alicia at the bar, the bartender handing her a drink and another note from Kalinda, and watching Alicia dissolve again for the loss of a friendship she could never allow herself to have once she came to distrust Kalinda's motives. :vulcan:

Who knows, I could be wrong and THIS will be the SERIES' final scene.

You're an adult, don't get sucked into the girl drama.

Because of "acting" it took me a minute to recognize Archie over on Brooklyn 99.

I'm watching the last episodes of Faking It.

Give it a try, you have to do something inbetween new episodes of The Good Wife.

Oh, wasn't it super cool how Grace rolled with it and faked being a secretary?

Which is what Castle's daughter did on Castle 3 weeks ago.

"Weird".
