T-600 Series: The T-600 Series was the first generation to appear like a human. They are capable of withstanding extreme attack, but their chassis is not as effective in withstanding heat based attacks.
T-800 Series: The T-800 series endoskeleton is a hardened hyper alloy combat chassis. Conventional weapons are next to useless against it (standard hand weapons have no effect, shotgun impacts can stun the unit) as is fire. Explosions can damage the unit but the only way to destroy it is to crush the unit, disable its power generation system, or remove the CPU Processor chip. Plasma based weapons can destroy a T-800 series as well as melting it down. The battle unit does have structural weak spots, but the chances of scoring a critical hit against one is next to impossible.
T-850 Series: The T-850 Series is a refit to the T-800 series unit. It has been hardened to plasma weapons due to upgrades to the combat chassis. The best way to destroy it is with an explosion (such as a rupture to its energy cells).
T-888 Series: The T-888 Series is another upgrade to the T-800 series; however, this is designed for more advanced and long term infiltration missions. It's endoskeleton is made mainly of a Coltan alloy which has been hardened to heat resistance and plasma weapons. It can be melted down with a thermite charge. The easiest way to disable the unit is to deactivate its power systems or disable its processors. Never the less, separation of the head from the body has no effect as the T-888 series contains two additional subprocessors that can take over for the primary chip in extreme circumstances. They must recieve an activation order from the primary processor. Electrical discharges can disable the unit for approximately two minutes before a full system restart. After 15 seconds the unit is at full operational levels.
As evidenced by the episode Automatic for the People voltage in excess of 20,000 overloads the processor beyond repair.
T-900 Series: An advancement on the standard endoskeleton design, the T-900 was the next generation Skynet battle unit and was designed to destroy rogue terminators. It had an enhanced endoskeleton that could withstand plasma attacks. The easiest way to destroy it was a concentrated plasma attack or forced explosion (I.E. Nuclear detonation). Removal of the processor chip is impossible as it is not accessible from the endoskeleton without the authorization of the unit itself. Access to the plasma generator is nearly impossible due to increased armor around the torso.
T-950 Series: Upgrade to the T-900 series. It was more streamlined and similar to the T-888 series in mission intent. It was the direct precursor to the T-X according to the novel Terminator: Hunt. No data was given on how to destroy it other than, like the T-X, nuclear detonation. It was designed as an endoskeleton equivalent to the T-1000. Due to the similarities between the two some in the novel believe that the T-950 is at the heart of a T-X itself.
T-1000 series: The T-1000 series requires being melted or causing severe damage to the processors of each of the individual nanoprocessors in the nanites making up its construction. Conventional weapons do not have an effect on the unit; however, acid, extreme cold, and plasma weapons can damage the unit.
T-X Series: Nuclear detonation is the only confirmed means of destroying it. Novels and comics indicate that the T-X is incredibly resilient to any attacks launched against it. It easily deflects attacks from small arms (21st century weaponry) and even the plasma attacks of the future war.
OTHER
TS-300 Series: Experimental prototype, they are essentially human/terminator hybrids with an endoskeleton made of ceramic armor. They were defective and allied with humanity; however, if damaged, they return to Skynet control. They are stronger than the T-800 series, but are weaker in terms of structural resilience.
