What Did the Beastie Boys Sing About in the ST Universe INSTEAD of Star Trek?

I'm sure that everybody reading this is aware of the Beastie Boys' songs "Sabotage" and "Body Movin'" being featured in the Kelvin Star Trek movies. But the Beasties reference Trek several times in their catalog:

Their 1998 single "Intergalactic" features the following lyrics:

If you try to knock me you'll get mocked
I'll stir fry you in my wok
Your knees'll start shakin' and your fingers pop
Like a pinch on the neck of Mr. Spock

In the video for 2004's "Ch-Check It Out," the Beasties dress up as Kirk, Spock, and McCoy, and beam down. The song contains the lyrics:

All you Trekkies and TV addicts
Don't mean to diss don't mean to bring static
All you Klingons in the f--king house
Grab your backstreet friend and get loud
And the song "Brouhaha," on the same album, contains these lyrics:

Communicator check one two one two
This is Bones McCoy on a line to Sulu
Set the bulls--t to warp factor one
Check your tricorder set your phaser to stun

So the Beasties were obviously fans. But we know because of what TV Tropes calls the Celebrity Paradox that the Beasties of the Trek Universe couldn't have been singing about Captain Kirk and his crew, because Star Trek doesn't exist as a show in the Star Trek Universe. So who or what were the Beasties singing about instead? The Twilight Zone? Lost in Space? Galaxy Quest? Something else?

Serious or goofy answers welcome! :)

Gary Mitchell actually wrote those songs for them. They personally had no clue as to what the heck they were singing about but it sounded really great and went on to make tons of money off it so they were really happy with the lyrics. :)

That's another "Star Trek" show but since it's in another universe my theory is they were a country-western band instead just because it would be funny. Also liked those "Sliders" moments were you see alternate versions of real life.

Another one was the one on "Castle" Which also happened to be the only episode of Castle I ever watched and don't even recall the name of the show when Castle went to a Sci-FI convention.
