What are your turn-ons/turn-offs?

Gryffindorian

Vice Admiral

What are some of the things that you find alluring, stimulating, or mood-inducing that turn you on? And what are your turn-offs? They can be people, personal traits, certain foods, or special moments.

My turn-ons:

Nicely proportioned muscles (guys)
Long hair (women)
Certain fragrances worn by women
Smiling/sparkling/dreamy eyes
Ladies who press their bossoms against my back (whether consciously or not) :D
People who are into me
A masculine voice (guys of course)
Form-fitting spandex outfits

My turn-offs:

Poor hygiene
Excessive tattoos
Excessive facial/body hair
Piercings
An uber-muscular physique
A potty mouth
Smoking
A shitty personality

What say you?

My turn-ons: People who are kind, creative(love being creative) and enjoy life's simple moments. I have always like women with red hair. :adore:

My turn-offs: People who mean, arrogant or rude.

Turn-ons: World Peace

Turn-offs:

Turn-Ons (on women)

I'll agree with Form-fitting spandex outfits
Nicely shaped rear-ends (not too flat, not too large), Tatiana Maslany will do nicely.

Turn-Offs (also on women)

Any visible tats, but the more there are, the more the turn-off
Piercings other than ears & belly button
Massively stuck-up women

I don't get turned on or off by anything another man does.

You know, as a summary, this works pretty well for me, too.

I'm not that particular about someone's appearance, just don't be an awful person.

^Exactly. I could come up with a whole second tier of things I find attractive or not, but I'm flexible about all of them. These five are non-negotiable.

I like tattoos and piercings. Then again, I find BDSM quite alluring.

The personal hygiene thing is interesting too, as I'm more olfactorily offended/turned-off by some of the really nasty perfumes and scents out there than some people's honest-to-goodness musk.

But I agree with a lot of others that intelligence and wit are very appealing; bad manners and condescension are not.

Oh, and sexism/racism/bigotry absolute no-noes.

Just being YOU! :adore: The best YOU! :)

The more I think about it. :bolian:

ETA: Just turn on. Don't want to think about turn offs.

Turn on: A beautiful smile, openness, goal oriented in all things(career and health)

Turn offs: bad hygiene, sense of entitlement, rude and crudeness

Biggest issue I ran into back when I was single was women who thought that just because they were pretty and showing everything off that they were entitled to an easy life at some guy's expense. Once it came out in the conversation that they weren't really working and only interested in what I did for a living and how much I made I'd wish them a pleasant evening and move on.

I'm one of the ones who cited hygiene, but I agree with you on this. Nothing wrong with a bit of natural body scent.

On the other hand, the odor that comes from not showering for days on end even though you've been working out or doing physical labor is unacceptable. As is visibly dirty and uncombed hair, and unbrushed teeth, and dirty or stained underwear. Yuck.

Oh, and sexism/racism/bigotry absolute no-noes.

Indeed!

Yeah, bigotry is an instant exit cue for me. I was talking to this lady--a teacher--a while back who seemed pretty nice... until she started dropping some super racist comments about her black students. NOPE.

I'm going to stick to the physical. None of these are deal-breakers or deal-makers, because the physical obviously isn't the most important thing.

But it is the most fun.

Turn-ons
Height. Especially really high height. Like 6'5" and higher height.
Big manly man hands
Moderate chest hair
Proportionate calves
Long eyelashes
Tattoos
Well-kept fingernails
5 o'clock shadow

Turn-offs
Strong cologne
Greasy hair
Huge beards (I like little beards)
Dirty teeth

Oh, and I forgot bowlegs! I LOVE bowlegs. Not like a weird fetish for super severe, disabling bowlegs, but just a little bit of bowlegs. Like Matt Smith and Jensen Ackles bowlegs.

Emotionally, I am turned on by a guy who cares about me as much as I do him.

Physically, I am turned on by smooth, clean skin and height/weight proportionate.

Turn offs are poor hygiene, hairy body, bad attitude and rude.

In summary: smooth, clean, caring guys to the front of the line; hairy, rude or smelly guys don't bother getting in line. :techman:

I listed mostly the physical attributes as well. Of course, most people would pick honesty, good manners, tolerance, etc., as turn-ons. I get those too, but those qualities don't necessarily manifest themselves at first glance. So I listed the more obvious and superficial ones. :)

turn-offs:

beards (I haven't seen any Vorta with beards)
bullies
being overweight out of negligence
venom

turn-ons:
selflessness
genorisity
a sixpack with brain
