Was Quark ever married?

Melakon

Admiral
In Memoriam
We know Quark had a few old flames, and worked sexual clauses into his employee contracts, but are there any indications in the series that he once had a wife? Was he too focused on profit to think of starting a family? Or did he just enjoy playing the field?

And he was temporarily married to that Klingon woman, which I forgot in the original post. He seemed too lecherous around the ladies to be in the closet though. Though he did seem to be fascinated with Odo. There's probably a lot of Odo/Quark slash fiction out there.

In the season 5 episode "Looking for Par'mach in all the wrong places", Quark's Klingon ex-wife shows up.

I think he was too interested in Profit (IE: Didn't want a wife having a Financial claim on his Profit)

Quark's goal was to get into women's pants. Not marry them. Grilka married Quark to use him. It was only -after- that they had a brief romance.

Quark does seem to have a thing for alien women though. Guess he doesn't have to worry about unintentional pregnancies that way.

Also that scene where Quark talks about Rom's ex wife pretty much implies Quark does not have any ex wives other than Grilka.

Other than Grillka, Quark was never married. He was at one point in love with a Bajoran woman he (presumably) met during the occupation. I believe this was revealed in the episode Profit and Loss.

It must have been difficult for Quark, with all those beautiful dabo girls walking around wearing clothes, instead of naked as they should be.

O'BRIEN: That's your solution, Quark, huh? Treat women like property?
QUARK: Criticise it all you want. But on the Ferengi homeworld, husbands and wives never argue. There's no divorce, no broken homes, nothing but peaceful conjugal bliss.
O'BRIEN: If Ferengi marriages are so wonderful, why are you still single?
QUARK: I haven't met the right woman yet.

He was also in love with a Cardassian woman he met during the occupation. I forget the episode name but I believe it was the second to feature Garak.

Natima Lang. Whatever else you wanna say about Cardassian women, the scaly heads aren't too attractive, but they make nice dresses.

I don't know if we ever saw a near naked Cardassian, but I am sure their heads aren't the only scaly bits. ;)

Natima Lang was the one I was thinking about -- Cardassian, not Bajoran. Thanks.

You saw Natima's cleavage... she had a spoon and scales down there too.
