Wait... who's mother to Bowser's Koopa kids?

I've been playing through New Super Mario Bros. in anticipation of New Super Mario Bros. 2 for the 3DS and a thought occurred to me. In Super Mario Bros., we have no indication that Bowser has any kids. Mario 2 features Wart, then, in Super Mario Bros. 3, Bowser's kids (Lemmy, Iggy, Wendy O., Morton Koopa, Jr., Roy, Ludwig von Koopa and Larry) are introduced. This, I can accept. Maybe Bowser had a Mrs. Koopa he sired these children with.

But, who's the mother to Bowser, Jr.? This character is in New Super Mario Bros., and he was obviously not around for Mario 3 or Super Mario World, or else he'd be a boss character.

Then, I got to thinking... is it possible that, in one of Bowser's (many) kidnappings of Princess Peach that he impregnated her? It sure would make sense as to why Bowser would keep kidnapping her... to raise her damn kids!

Makes sense, it's the only way to get her to pay child support. Explains why Mario collects all those coins on the way to rescuing her.

In Bowser's case they were probably delivered by komodo dragons or something equally reptilian in nature. I'm sure there's a comic, or a deviantArt link, or a LiveJournal avatar, or something somewhere which I could use to back up my assertion, but I'm not so masochistic as to risk such corners of the internet.

Bowser Jr. calls Peach his mother in Super Mario Sunshine, so it could be. That would explain how Bowser can kidnap Peach one day and then play tennis with her the next.
