I've come across a Star Trek Deep Space Nine Special Edition box set and am having troubles finding info on it. Is there some type of database or other way I can find out about it?

I would suggest Googling "UPC codes"...there are several websites out there where you can input these codes (found on the packaging) and see details about when they were made, etc.

I have tried running the UPC through multiple data bases. It has some sort of oriental writing on it.

It’s a fake. Why is Data from TNG Season 1 on the front cover when he never appeared on DS9? In fact, why are Worf and Picard and the Enterprise-D on the front & side covers? To me it screams more TNG than DS9. And that Paramount 90th anniversary logo was from 2002—unless a place with Mandarin language got it in 2002—however it has a Region 1 logo, and Region 1 is Canada/US.

Yes to all that...but especially as it says BATTLESTAR GALACTICA on the front. :)

Painfully fake set. Hope it was cheap.

If it's an European release, don't buy it!

All European releases of DS9 which the con men, thieves and criminals at Paramount have shipped to Europe are substandard crap which will be unwatchable after one viewing.

HahA! This DVD set is so hilarious. It's just such a blatantly cheap knock off. They couldn't even bother to get anything right...Picard, Data, Worf, the Enterprise, Battlestar Galactica? Oh man, this made my day HAhA!

Since the question has been answered and it doesn't look like the OP is coming back any time soon I think this one has run its course.
