Unbelievable! LOL! Lucas-Spielburg

I just saw this story about the recent South Park episode where George Lucas and Steven Spielburg rape Indiana Jones. It was hilarious. The face Lucas makes during the accused scene is great.

It has a flag on it for needing to be 18 to watch. I'm expecting King George and King Steven too have it pulled rapidly, so you should go to youtube and watch it pretty quick if you can

If the link doesn't work for you, just search for South Park Indiana Jones on Youtube. Choose the one that says: South Park-Spielburg and Lucas arrested for raping Indiana. Entry by Sunwellisle

we watched the episode..

It wasn't very good. It started out stale and never rose to anything even remotely "decent" ... I mean, the whole episode felt dated, like something they produced 3 years ago and forgot to stick on the air. They're usually much better about being recent with the topics they screw over.

And forgive me if I've forgotten something, but wasn't there a time when South Park was, ya know, funny?

That was.... wow.

I'm not even sure what to think.

Not even sure if it was funny. Ok, it was a bit (although I blame Lucas a bit more than Spielberg) but... wow.

Where was Cartman?

At last ... someone understands how I'll feel if the Enterprise was built on the ground.

I was reading on TVGuide.COM that Lucas/Spielberg have already protested it to Paramount Pictures and threatened legal action.

Really? Why bother? They've been on South Park, they're famous now!

I gotta admit, that IS pretty much what it felt like I was watching when I saw that movie. ;)

Of course, with Matt and Trey you can never be sure if they actually SHARE that opinion, or if they're just making fun of us fans who complained about it...

The first scene, with the rape stuff only implied, was funny. The rest was not... SS and GL have a lot to answer for, but only in a reasonably civil and metaphorical sense.

I thought that is was pretty insulting to my intelligence though if it ended with the cops saying "You kids are fucking stupid", I would have liked it. Just typical internet overreaction.

^ Perhaps, perhaps not. Carol Burnett attempted to sue Family Guy for something similar a few years ago. She claimed copyright violation and slanderous comments.

But you're probably right.

Yeah I remember that. Don't recall it making it far because there's the "fair use" thing for the sake of parody. And South Park is, clearly, making a parody here of Indy 4 and Spielberg and Lucas and not trying to really imply that Lucas and Spielberg were ass-raping a fictional character.

That all said, it's probably one of the more explicit sequences I've ever seen from South Park. I mean, holy cow!

I watched most of the episode, I missed the first 10 minuets or so, and thought it was an ok episode. As a general rule, I don't have to much of a problem with this kind of humor, I'm huge Family Guy fan, and I've liked most of the South Park I've seen, but I really think they over did it with this one. I understand that they thought Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was bad, I just don't think the way they chose to deal with it was that funny.

The explicitness might tip it against SP. The parody is pretty deep and hard to find for a layman and a slander suit might succeed. The prosecution has an easy case "They show my clients explicitly raping a man." while the defense has to present a convoluted history both the show and the men themselves as well as internet reaction to it.
