It's Labour Day (or Labor Day for our American friends) weekend here in Canada and the US this weekend. So why not take the opportunity to celebrate labour in our avatar contest?
Your entry for this week's contest should depict a character in movies or television who belongs to any profession that is/can be represented by a labour union, at least somewhere in the world (even if the character themselves is not explicitly mentioned as being in a union). Also acceptable are characters who are identified as union members or leaders, even if their profession is not necessarily known.
Standard avatar contest rules apply: images must be no more than 200 x 200 pixels and 1 MB, and they must be SFW. Each entrant may enter up to three avatars. The contest will be open for about a week. SF&F is allowed for this contest. Please identify the character--and their profession (or their union role if their profession is not known)--shown in your avatar, even if you think it's obvious. Since the contest is for individual characters, more than one character representing the same profession may be entered. If you think there may be a question about whether the profession is represented by a labour union, feel free to include a link to the union that represents them.
And if you'd like, head over to the Miscellaneous forum to participate in the Labour in Reality contest.
Have fun!
