I've noticed there aren't a lot of True Blood fanfiction stories on Bill and Sookie. It got me thinking about an idea for one if anyone's interested in making it a reality.
My idea has the story taking place in a version of the True Blood world without the vampires or supernatural creatures in it.
It begins with the people of Bon Temps receiving news of Bill Compton's decision to move into the town. Bill is a wealthy businessman from the city who had a relative who lived in Bon Temps before he died and gave over ownership of his property to Bill in his will. Bill’s been looking for an excuse to move away from the city after the tragic death of his wife two years ago.
Bill and Sookie meet when Bill goes to Merlotte’s to make his presence known to the community. Bill and Sookie feel the sparks of a connection which calls to a side of Bill in a way he hasn’t felt with anyone else since his wife. Bill makes attempts to get to know the waitress and bond with her to the point in which he eventually reveals to her his secret life. Bill is a Dom involved in the BDSM scene and his wife was his sub. Bill thought he would never find someone like his wife again until he met Sookie.
Sookie is at a loss for words and a bit uncomfortable with Bill’s confession at first. She wonders if she should stop seeing him before she gets in too deep with him like her boss Sam, her friend Tara, and his brother Jason advised. But when Bill gives her a glimpse of what the BDSM lifestyle is like, a suppressed wild side of Sookie finds herself drawn to it. Bill takes her under his wing to show her the many delights of the BDSM world and to teach her them personally.
Along the way, Sookie meets Eric, who’s the owner of a BDSM club outside of town and the brother of Bill’s dead wife. Bill butts heads with Eric, who blames him for his sister’s death and is further angered by the fact that he found a replacement for her. Eric runs the club with a Domatrix named Pam, who has a crush on him but refuses to give up her dominating role to be with him. Things get even complicated when Jason sets his eyes on Pam and falls heads over heels for her. But does Jason have it in him to give up his macho image to be Pam’s submissive?
The story would also focus on the growing conflict between conservative elements of the Bon Temps community and members of the BDSM lifestyle like Bill and Eric. Maybe an anti-BDSM version of the Fellowship of the Sun can play a role in this.
