Trek related body modification.

Kirk-Fu

Lieutenant Commander

I saw the body art thread and didn't think this would fit there. If I'm wrong please merge.

I was wondering if anyone had heard of a Trek fan having body modifications done to appear like one of the aliens in Trek?
I remember seeing a guy who is trying to look like a lizard get his tongue split, full body tattooed to look like scales and implants under his skin.
So I was wondering if a trek fan ever tried having implants under the skin on his head to look Klingon or had their ears surgically altered to look Vulcan? It's not something I'd do but if that guy is crazy enough to go for the lizard look I could see a Star Trek fan trying to go for an alien look.

I've never heard of anyone having extensive body modifications-- it would probably be too expensive for most people, at the very least. Something like piercings that resemble Seven's Borg implants would be doable, I suppose.

There certainly have been many fans that have taken on the mannerisms of Trek characters, and cultivated any natural resemblance, but that's it as far as I know.

No quite Vulcan looking. It is funny that the girl in the first pic is smiling after the modification. Maybe she was going for TOS era Romulan instead?:rommie:

Nothing speaks of a love of Trek expressed through body modification more than nailing a picture of Kirk and Spock to your head. I think we can all agree on that.

I have an appointment with a doctor and a pair of pliers on Monday.
Ouch. OuchOuchOuch. Ouch.

(I'm not making light of the thread, I just couldn't resist it). :D

:rommie: I guess if someone did the live long and prosper thing too hard they could sprain something in the hand.

Wasn't Counselor Troi originally supposed to have six breasts? Now there's a body mod.

Well, I stand corrected. :rommie:

I wonder how much it would cost to become an Andorian....

Whoa. Aren't you supposed to be referred to a Holdfast type shrink, before you're allowed to undertake any unnecessary surgery?

Really, it's carnage when bureaucracy fails. :p
