TOS SexiEst Moments

Gorn Captain

Commander
Red Shirt
I just clicked on a thread, I'm sure the subject is very worthwhile, debating the most SEXIST moments in TOS, but it's 2:24 in the morning, I'm stuck at work, and I thought it said SEXIEST, and so the heck with it, I'm starting my own thread with that subject.

As a teenager, I was always a bit bug eyed when certain women appeared, and of course that's a separate question as well as yet another Helen Noel thread.

An actual moment? I tend to think of the episode where Kirk is pulling his boots on while Deela is brushing her hair. Certainly very tame by today's standards, but just the idea that they got that past the censors...

So, what say you?

T'Pol & Trip in Decon; patently scripted to be sexy, albeit in a wry way.

"The Enterprise Incident", the whole Spock romancing the Romulan Commander thing. Their interaction was very subtle and very subdued, and exactly because of that very sexy. It was interesting to see Spock in this kind of situation.

The scene in Amok Time when Chapel goes to Spock's cabin for the second time. "It would be illogical for us to protest against our natures... don't you think?"

(Except that she then ruins it by telling Spock that they're bound for Vulcan.)

Star Trek's sexiest moment? Definitely Mariette Hartley taking off that fur in All Our Yesterdays. :)

And if this was the Enterprise forum, your post would be of relevance to this thread. :p

No more callers, we have a winner!! I agree. That is one hot moment. It should have melted all the ice in the cave!!

and I thought it said SEXIEST,

You're not the only one. Truly a "Spinal Tap" moment. Of course, it took me a few moments trying to recall what the term "sexist" meant. Then I remembered - it's someone who just won an argument with a feminist.

This scene from the episode "The Conscience of the King"

LENORE: Tell me, Captain Kirk.
KIRK: Anything.
LENORE: Did you order the soft lights especially for the occasion?
KIRK: If I had ordered soft lights, I'd also have arranged for music and flowers. Unfortunately, it isn't so. On the Enterprise, we try to duplicate earth conditions of night and day as closely as possible.
LENORE: Star light, star bright. I wish I may, I wish I might. Do you remember that, Captain?
KIRK: It's very old.
LENORE: Almost as old as the stars themselves. And this ship. All this power, surging and throbbing, yet under control. Are you like that, Captain? All this power at your command, yet the decisions that you have to make
KIRK: Come from a very human source.
LENORE: Are you, Captain? Human?
KIRK: You can count on it.
LENORE: Tell me about the women in your world, Captain.
KIRK: I'd rather talk about you. You must have wanted to perform since you first saw your father act. When was that?
LENORE: In the beginning.
KIRK: Tell me about it.
LENORE: That's not fair. You haven't answered my question about the women.
KIRK: What would you like to know?
LENORE: Has the machine changed them? Made them just people instead of women?
KIRK: Worlds may change, galaxies disintegrate, but a woman always remains a woman.
LENORE: All this and power too. The Caesar of the stars and the Cleopatra to worship him.
Warmest Wishes,
Whoa Nellie

:guffaw: So funny, yet also so true.

I'll say the sexiest moment was either the already mentioned Zarabeth scene in All Our Yesterdays or anything involving Tonia Barrows, played by Emily Banks, in Shore Leave.

^ Those two.

(Disclaimer: this is just an example. I don't really believe the following...)

All men are dumb, lazy perverts who think with their dicks, drink bear and watch sports all day, and they'll sell their mothers for a pair of nice boobs.

There. Did this line just win an argument with a feminist? If it did, then you're right! :techman:

I don't know about "sexiest moments", but here are some moments I thought were sexy...

"Mudd's Women"
I like how all the men lust after the women. Check out the smirk on McCoy's face.

"The Conscience of the King"
Lenore Karidian looks pretty sexy walking on the bridge in that purple fur outfit.

I object to that stereotype. I am not a dumb, lazy pervert who thinks with my dick, drinks bear, and watches sports all day. I’m a dumb, lazy pervert who thinks with my dick, drinks cheap scotch, and watches Star Trek all day.

As for my mother, I don’t drive a hard bargain. You can have her.

If you do want to give me something in exchange, I’ll take disc 1 of season 1 of the remastered series on DVD. Mine has a nasty scratch that I haven’t been able to repair. WNMHGB and Charlie X play just fine, but The Man Trap doesn’t.

1) I've always thought that both Michael Forest and Leslie Parrish were very sexy in that episode. Besides being gorgeous humans on their own, they had a very sensual chemistry when they had scenes together.

2) I concur about the Kirk and Deela "boots" scene in Wink of an Eye. I just watched that one again last week. In fact, although I never thought of Kathie Browne as "pretty," she had a very sexy personality, and that costume on that physique - wow!

3) No one has mentioned Kirk and Marlena in his cabin during Mirror, Mirror?

Doug

Sexiest moment?

Harry telling Stella to shut up, and she does. The ideal woman!

Kirk flirting with Miri. Way to go, Jim! You stud!

Kirk trying to rape Rand in The Enemy Within. Spock thought it was sexy and he’s never wrong, so it was.

The sexiest moment is probably also the most sexist moment: It's the one where Khan totally mindfucks McGivers by telling her to leave - or open her heart to him.
I've used that many times myself... and it always works (even when not plotting to take over a starship).

Well, there are some women who mindfuck men as well....

Of course, I do know if they were taking over starships, but....
