Tilly's hair

Anyone else wish that she would have stayed with the tied-up look from her first episode or two? Right now It just reminds me of a Lhasa Apso, and it doesn't look professional. I'm also not a fan of Mirror Tilly's hair. The original look was just so cool.

Nah, the bun sucked. I like the loose curls and what Wiseman calls "hair acting".
I think the bun represented who Tilly was when Michael met her. She's not that person anymore.

Hell naw. The more characters with natural hair, the better. Tilly's hair is absolutely magnificent, and it should be a crime to hide it from us viewers. The moment I saw her natural hair at the end of her debut episode, I knew they'd use changes to her hairstyle to signal her character development and opening up. And to be frank, considering Starfleet isn't a realistic military with high-and-tight crew cuts for all the guys in the first place, I see no reason whatsoever why it should be portrayed as a stuffy corporate office setting either.

IIRC, Wiseman's hair was straightened for the Tilly as Killy scenes in Season One. Not sure about this season.

Looked at some pictures (not 100% which season), it looks lighter too. That's what I reckon makes me think wig.

Only reason I think it is real is ....that would be a LOT of real hair to hide under a skull cap.

I’m not a wig expert (not in the least), but I wonder if the real hair could have all been pulled back and tied together, and that entire long column of hair hidden down the back of her head and down her back.

That could be concealed by the hair in the back of the wig, her uniform, and by camera angles

Nah, Tilly’s hair is awesome and reflects her character. The style reminds me of Troi’s, only it’s all natural and not a wig/hairpieces.

You could be right, I am also no expert. In this Nightwish video, they straighten Marco's & especially Toumas' hair. They don't have anywhere near the curl Mary does, but I reckon it's possible.
