News The Wand Company Communicator ReIssue.......

If they reissue this communicator, there are going to be a lot of pissed off people who bought it on eBay for $700!
I KNOW---LOL..........I am waiting now to see if they do the phaser as well......all leading up to the tricorder release. I am glad I got all mine off the shelf from Forbidden Planet in London for 100 quid.

I already have the Phaser and Communicator (both of which have over quadrupled in value since I bought them) so I'll totally be buying to the Tricorder. They make great display pieces - plus I'll have something to sell for a fair chunk of money if I ever need it - assuming they rocket in value again.

Yeah, I was lucky enough to get both the phaser and communicator when they were released for the original prices. I can't believe what they are asking for them nowadays. Star Trek props are priced insanely on the market right now.

Me too---this should throw cold water on the secondary market if it comes to pass.........have seen the phaser going for 700-1000 bucks.

I have the first issue of the communicator. The only thing I didnt like was the lid is a bit lose when opened.

But it is extremely accurate. When I first got it I went to a site that did extensive research on the original props. They had high quality photos of close ups of the random microscopic grain on the surface of the plastic casting of original props. Anyhow I swear I looked at the grain on the plastic casing of my replica and it's pretty much the exact grain....

The communicators are not going for that much. Just over $300 seems to be the average.

That’s still double the original price. And most are between 400 and 500 by my view. There are several up over 650.There are a few that are listed for “starting bid” in the 350 range…but the Buy It Now option is usually up over 500. And the auctions jack up quickly.

Saw one for $375 with free shipping just now..

I missed out on the phaser, I really want that. I also is waiting to get the tricorder; I'm also hoping the item will include McCoy's portable, medical scanner.

TWC heavily studied one of the original comms you were looking at to make their version.
