The Six Billion Dollar Man....

I just started watching the original series recently and there a lot of potential for a great modern remake.

Yeah, the pilot movie was pretty cool. I'd be down for a remake, as long as it was just serious enough, but still had an occasional fun element to it. :)

And in truth, I am one of the few that actually liked the all too shortly lived "Bionic Woman" of recent years.

I can't wait, I love the old show and this has been floating around for a while Im glad the movie finally has a release date. I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do modern visual effects.

I'm up for a respectful adaptation ($6 billion? There's inflation for ya!). Not sure that Mark Wahlberg is who I'd have chosen as the lead, though I do like him in general.

$6B inflation probably to make it believable that there will be very few bionic men or women in this film and it's sequels[if a franchise happens]. I am surprised he wasn't the Six Trillion Dollar man.

I agree on Mark Wahlberg. Let's hope he brings more acting to this science-fiction reboot, then he did to Planet Of The Apes (2001).

I think he's always been better as a supporting actor than a lead. The Departed, Three Kings and The Perfect Storm come to mind though he was good as the lead in Boogie Nights (arguably more of an ensemble movie admittedly).
