The whole ship is getting larger, along with everyone and everything in it. Only no one noticed because all the tape measures have grown as well. By the time they get home the Voyager is the size of a Galaxy-class and no one can fit through the doors at Starfleet HQ.

If some ignorant Trekfans can just slightly open their small minds and see Vulcanians/Vulcans or all of the Trek aliens can be 7 ft tall or 5 ft tall makes the Star Trek universe more diversified and not in some hollow, yet shallow vase.
