The Road trailer (Quicktime)

Based on Cormac McCarthy’s best-selling and Pulitzer Prize winning novel, “The Road” is the epic post-apocalyptic tale of a journey taken by a father and his young son across a barren landscape that was blasted by an unnamed cataclysm that destroyed civilization and most life on earth.

Read it, it was an enthralling book and the trailer looks to be a faithful adaptation. It carries an amazing environmental message without bringing up anything to do with traditional environmental issues. This isn't a global warming movie like Day After Tomorrow and it doesn't involve nuclear war, it's an unnamed cataclysm. It simply reminds you of how important our biosphere is to us.

I didn't spoiler that because the fact that it is an unnamed disaster is in every piece of promotional literature I've ever read and the event itself has nothing to do with the movie, it's just the backdrop.

The trailers are still a little too showy in my opinion for what is a very minimalist book, but I'm really looking forward to this. Interested to see if this can upstage Moon as my favorite film of the year.
