The New Man In Charge (SPOILERS)

Daosx

The new man in charge is currently available for viewing on Dark UFO. Very satisfiying IMO. Nothing mind blowing, but it answers a lot of questions that ticked people off when they weren't answered (Hurley bird, polar bears)
EDITED TO AD: It probably won't be up long. Catch it while you can!

It was nice but the questions should be answered in the actual episodes not in supplemntal materials like webisodes, not in online comics like Heroes did, not in podcasts, not in Q&As, not via leakd script pages that never made it to the screen etc.

Loved it! Is it me or are the writers poking fun at the nagging audience with the two DHARMA people, who are never satisfied by all the answers they get?

I loved it. Glad I got to see it. For my friends and family who are not as diehard as I am - they won't miss a thing by not seeing it (although they will enjoy it if they do catch it).

I enjoyed it because it was new LOST but it was kind of ham-handed.

Did we really need an explanation on the polar bears including the leather band thing Charlotte found in Tunisia and the fish biscuits? Talk about hand holding.

At least the Room 23 stuff makes some sense now.

It was touching to see Hurley and Ben "rescue" Walt to take him back to the island. Like someone on another site said... Bring on season 7!

One question though... What do they plan to do with that warehouse full of stuff? I'm also wondering what they'll replace the drops with. That was a good thing they had going.

None of these answers were particularly complicated. I don't see why they couldn't have been answered in the show. Why even introduce the mysteries in the first place? Why, when Kate and Sawyer rescued Alex's boyfriend from the room, couldn't they just say, "this room is used to wipe people's memory"??? It had nothing to do with the core mystery so answering it would do no harm. Why even pose it as a dangling mystery to begin with? Another example of the pointlessly vague and frustrating writing style. Honestly, I loved LOST, but the writers really do deserve a lot of the anger they get from fans regarding mysteries and answers. Nobody forced them to introduce fifty new mysteries per episode.

I liked the bit with Walt and Hurley a lot more than the warehouse stuff.

People were worried about not seeing Michael at the church. Now I think we can rest easy knowing that Walt helped him (and probably many others) move on.

This was funny, and was all just one big joke for morons who still couldn't figure out they were doing experiments on polar bears and that Room 23 was a brainwashing room... never had doubts about those. The stuff about the food drops was the best part. That was downright hilarious.

Yeah I agree. So the story behind the giant mutant bird is: "Hey we made some giant mutant birds."

I mean, what's the point of introducing all those different mysterious aspects if they didn't really have anything to do with the story?

The bird that said "Hrraahhh" and Hurley says "Dude, did that bird just say my name" or something similar. It was just something that was supposed to be funny, but people took it way too seriously.

I'm glad they answered the question about the food drop, and don't really see how they could have incorporated that into the last season of the show. There were much bigger fish to fry.

I remember the scene, but did we actually see that bird? I don't remember thinking anything about it was "giant" or "mutant."

I have watched the entire show (minus the last season) 4 times all the way through. How have I never seen that before?

I do. I remember in the commentary thread we all WTF'd "did that bird say Hurley?

It was in the fifth season, but I don't remember the episode.

Well, that little addendum was good, and cool to see the LOST card again and the credit music, but I was dissapointed not to see them on the island. And Hurley hardly had any lines...and he's supposed to be the new Jacob!
