The Least Disliked Episode 2023: PRO Season 1

Our addictive biyearly game of rapid elimination returns - now with more shows than ever. It's generally a lot of fun, providing a chance to mentally revisit those episodes you may not have thought about in a while. With that in mind, why not play again?

So, here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your least favourite or the one you deem the 'worst.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you eliminate another episode.

No tactical voting! You cannot remove an episode just because you feel it would threaten your preferred episode's chance to win. Pretty simple. Enjoy!

I eliminate "First Con-tact" because I don't like stuff that focuses on criminal activities or characters.

As cool as the effects were for the Borg cube, I'll eliminate Let Sleeping Borg Lie. Some good bits in it, but there are much better uses of the Borg in other shows.

"Starstruck." I understand Dal is a kid who can't yet be expected to be mature, and he has no reason to trust authority, but his "I'm in charge!" attitude got on my nerves fast.

Yeah, agree with that - the contrived stalling the show used later in the season was one of the few things I didn't like.

I'm now struggling to choose. I'll plump for Mindwalk because as much as I like it most of it, there are much meatier episodes.

It's actually hard to decide at this point... which is impressive because more than half of the season is still left.

Agreed and a half. This was a ridiculously solid season.

This time I'll go for "Dream Catcher," because there was no reason for Dal to take off his commbadge, except that it plot-conveniently prevented Hologram Janeway from telling him Gwyn was stealing the ship. Another contrivance. The crew splitting up so quickly was also not very smart, even given their inexperience.

"Supernova Part 2" The scale of this finale battle was just waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much. It doesn't always need to be millions of deaths, especially on the kids show.

Also, ugh to that hideous design of Zero's new suit.

@Sakonna , per @BlueStuff 's second post in this thread, the last four episodes go into "Final Round" mode: it takes four votes to eliminate one, and a poster can only vote once until an episode is eliminated. Based on that, I'll restore "Supernova I" to the list.

Blue Stuff, do we just do the Final Round vote in this thread, or would you prefer to start a separate thread?
