Storyline

2065...With Earth rendered uninhabitable by war, humanity's remaining survivors send a fleet of ships to different points in the galaxy in the hope of finding a new world. After seven years of travel and long since out of communication range, the crew of The Pegasus are nearing their destination when they encounter a derelict ship. As tensions on board rise and they struggle to complete their mission they soon realize that they are not alone and must fight for their survival - and the survival of the human race.

A $3 million movie with some passable SFX and a decent cast, including an actor from B5. The acting is pretty good for a film of this type though it will not impress anyone.

The plot is post-apocalyptic. The old standby culprit: nuclear war occurs between the US and China. The world sends out numerous ships and from this "fleet" scout ships are sent out to find a new home. The first half of the movie takes it's time to know the characters..there really isn't too much conflict, we are just seeing how people live in this "world". As the adventure tightens up and crisis occurs, then the usual mayhem ensues. They find a Chinese scout and it is mysteriously "empty". I'm not sure I buy some of the motivations at this point, but let's just say not everyone makes it to the end.

Grade: B- (for a B film)

I seriously thought this movie, from the title alone, was going to be about the Boy Scouts of America in some way. Four lines into your movie description Rama, I was pissing myself still thinking that this movie was (perhaps a comedy) about the post apocalyptic Boy Scouts of America.

As a military buff...well formerly one, I simply think of "scout vehicles": planes, MRAPs, jeeps, etc.

I think the post-apocalyptic boy scout thing has been done with Insurgent and others at this point.
