The Fallen on Windows 10

Has anyone had any luck getting this to run on Windows 10? I've been playing several old Star Trek games lately and have good memories of this one.

I installed it from the CD in compatibility mode for Windows 98 then installed the Retail patch, Mini Code Patch, and Convergence mod in that order. When I try launching the game nothing happens, not even an error message. I've tried every compatibility setting and running as administrator.

Windows 10 is not good for older games.

I have Windows 10 on a computer for "offworld communication" but I also have a Windows 7 computer for older games and such.

However, I don't have The Fallen so I don't know how it works on Windows 7 either.
