Hi guys,

I'm a huge fan of the Lower Decks series, and I'm also a novice prop maker who enjoys making stuff from movies and games that means something special to me.
Obviously, that's the marvelous T8, the diagnostic scanner with the purple stripe, with increased diagnostic efficiency vs the D53!

I made a 3D printable version with working trigger and blue lights in front, and green on the back when trigger is activated, and maybe that could be of interest to someone here

I also made a Youtube video of this, but seeing as I also sell these in my shop and I do mention that in the video, I think that linking to the video may be against the forum rule?. As a new user, I can't message a moderator to sort this out either, so sorry if even this is against the rules :/ But if not, I'd be happy to link to the video, @moderator please contact and enlighten me

Welcome to the board, @andersmakesstuff! Always good to have another Lower Decks fan here. And wow, this looks absolutely fantastic! I always think it’s super cool to see these cartoon-y props brought into the third dimension. Seeing it like this it totally wouldn’t look out of place as one of the tools La Forge or O’Brien is using.

As for your question: Yes, sales and posting solely to advertise your stuff are not allowed here. So thanks for asking first. However, assuming your video isn’t all about selling but first and foremost about showing off your work, I would say give it a go and post it for us.
