Star Trek TNG: The Interactive VCR Board Game

Anybody else remember this game? I found it while visiting home for the holidays. I snuck it away (read: my parents begged me to take it) and plan to introduce my friends to it! The kitschy-ness has even interested some non ST fans into playing (or so they claim...).

I remember wanting that game as a kid and didn't get it. Though from what people have said about it on this board, I don't mind that so much now.

I received it as a gift one Xmas, but we never played it. I still have it in the basement. Maybe I should try to sell it...

I remember having some fun with it. You have to remember that this was cutting edge entertainment technology at the time.

They have this at the thrift store near my house for $15. I keep thinking about buying it.

Funny, I have this game in the closet behind me right now. I haven't played it in years but my sister and I did many years ago! We loved it!

We had it and played it a few times. It actually was a lot of fun, although the first time you play it IS the best time. Eventually i sold it on ebay. It's worth getting to play a few times with some fellow trekkies. It's fun!

Cutting edge... and dumb. Play it once, and the surprises are gone. This sort of thing really needs digital media that can randomize the gameplay to a few hundred combinations.

Played it once as well with some cousins. Beat it before time ran out, so fast forwarded to the end to see what would happen. Was disappointed to see stock footage of Yeasterday's Enterprise, but what should have I expected?
