On the last issue of the Italian edition of Mickey Mouse magazine there is a delightful parody of Star Trek (the first jj Abrams movie, it seems) named "Star-Top" ("topo" in the Italian word for mouse).

You can see a trailer here.

The "cast" is:

Topolino (Mickey Mouse): Captain T.J.J. Tirk
Pippo (Goofy): First Officer Pippok
Minni (Minnie Mouse): Doctor Minni McMinny
Orazio Cavezza (Horace Horsecollar): Chief Engineer Orace Scotton
Clarabella (Clarabelle Cow): Lieutenant Bella Calhura
Gancio il Dritto (Ellsworth Bheezer): Lieutenant Gancet Corvov
Eta Beta (Eega Beeva): Ship Computer.

Here same pages...

Reminds me of the parody that appeared in the 1980's "Care Bears" cartoon.

I assure that is better. Consider that "Topolino" sells more then 120,000 copies in Italy and it is a weekly comic. A large part of buyers is more than thirty years old.

Just for comparison, the top seller comic in U.S.A. is Batman with 130.000 copies and is a monthly comic in a country that has a population that is more five times that of Italy! :)

That is pretty cool!

That'd be perfect for my housemate, who's into Duck Tales/Micky Mouse. Except, neither he nor me understand Italian.

This is very interesting. Is this a 'one-of' comic parady or is this going to be a series?

It's a saga in four issues (with every issue there is a piece of the space ship).

The price (in Italy) is 2.50 € (about 3.12 $).

Edit: this is the first ship :D

Holy cow, that is a terrific price for both a book and the toy.

And it isn't the only story! "Topolino" is an anthological magazine!

On the same issue:

Star Top Terza Generazione (First episode) script: Bruno Enna, pencils: Andrea Freccero;

Paperino e il popolo parallelo script: Carol e Pat Mcgreal, pencils: Giorgio Cavazzano;

Paperino & Paperina in: Gli interessi in comune script: Jacopo Cirillo, pencils: Luciano Gatto;

Paperino in...professione sfortunologo script: Alessandro Mainardi, pencils: Lara Molinari;

Paperino, Paperoga & la banda del brividos script: Carlo Panaro, pencils: Francesco Guerrini;

That is pretty cool. To bad they don't have an English translation.
