Star Trek Parodies

I guess the general discussion thread would be the place to put this.

What are some of the different parodies you have seen done of Star Trek? Like Galaxy Quest. I've seen episodes of SNL and In Living Color that had skits which were Trek parodies. I think those skits might have been featured in one of the Star Trek anniversary specials.

Also in one of the anniversary specials, Kate Mulgrew appeared on stage with the cast of Frasier (who were her bridge crew in the skit).:)

On the 200th episode of Stargate SG1 there was a parody of Star Trek.

Anybody know of any others?

My favourite parody has to be from the Scottish sketch show Chewin' the Fat. Their sketch, Taysiders in Space, offers a humorous look at what would happen if Starfleet opened an academy outside Dundee, Scotland.

Be warned, this video contains some VERY thick Scottish accents and slang, so it might be a bit difficult to understand. But I love that a captain would ask his first officer to bring him back a mug of royal game soup and a pint of cider from the replicator.

"Free Enterprise" is a romantic comedy about Trekkies, featuring William Shatner.

And you can check out "The Red Shirt Diaries" on the internet. (It's a humorous web-series.)

Yes, I wanted to mention this!

"Damn it, Jim. I'm a sexy doctor, not a sexy scientist!"

I love her gratuitously croaky voice, a great portrayal of bad acting.

Family Guy had more than a few cutaway gags and the one where Stewie transports the cast of TNG to his room and they all go out to McDonald's.

Big Bang Theory had the Spock doll dream sequence.

I never watched much American Dad but since they had Patrick Stewart, they probably have something.

SNL had one with John Belushi as Captain Kirk.

One of the few times that show has made me laugh.

"Number One, would you laugh if I said to you that Mister Worf's head looks like a fanny."

As a Scot, the part that always slays me is:

"ach awae an' dinnae talk pish"

Which is just so us. For the sketch they obviously couldn't use the 'Borg Voice' so they made one up that sounds like it but when I think of the proper First Contact Borg hail, being answered:

"ach awae an' dinnae talk pish"

I can't help but laugh.

On the 200th episode of Stargate SG1 there was a parody of Star Trek.

To be fair though, in that episode they briefly parodied several sci-fi shows including "Farscape", which 2 of the castmembers (Ben Browder and Claudia Black) were in before they joined the "Stargate SG1" series.

Yep, they parodied Farscape. The funny thing was Ben Browder was not playing his Farscape character in the clip. It was Michael Shanks. Some Stargate fans thought the two looked enough alike to be brothers.

They also parodied The Wizard of Oz.

Here is the link for the Stargate parody of Star Trek.

My favourite part is:

CAPTAIN: Right Ensign, give us warp factor 10, we'll open this big bastard up and see if it is shit hot right enough.

ENSIGN: Nae danger, get your belts on.

CAPTAIN: Nae chance of us wearing belts like a bunch of big poofters.

Can't resist that funky theme!

And to be honest, this is how I view TNG...
