Star Trek: Black Hawk

Commodore
Commodore
Redo! This time, some of the character bios first. Particularly those new to the Trek Universe.

Setting: Year 2199

New Characters and Groups

Jamie Lynn Kirk
: At 36, her slender frame topped with sun-bleached blonde hair. She led her class at the Merchant Academy, her mind as sharp as her wit. But the structured life of a Federation Merchant couldn't contain her rebellious spirit or her insatiable wanderlust. Now, she captains the "Black Hawk," and is a member of the Independent Operators Guild, her services available to the highest bidder. Beneath this mercenary veneer beats a heart driven by a deep-seated belief in fairness and justice, coupled with a fierce disdain for those who prey on the vulnerable. Grandmother of James T. Kirk.

MCKE 9.0 : Advanced Android. Affectionately known as "Mickey", he is the First Mate of the Black Hawk, and best friend and long time companion to Jamie Lynn Kirk. Superhumanly strong, highly intelligent, and designed a century earlier as an engineering drone, Mickey has grown to be far more than his programming, and far more human than many who are human by birth.

- Karen Collins, a biomedical engineer, works at the Federation's Experimental Design Group on a top secret project to study and reverse engineer the radically advanced technology of a collection of Alien artifacts. Becomes a whistleblower after discovery of efforts by the EDG to create WMDs for use in preemptive strikes on a range of perceived Federation enemies by Section 31. Seeks to leak information to Pirate Collective, a hacktivist group which supports and publishes whistle blowers.

- Sa'Ko'Bey : Called simply "the Shadows". A quasi-official clandestine Klingon organization similar to Section 31 or the Tal Shiar. Given permission by both the warrior and priestly castes to operate outside the normal confines of the rules of war and honor when operating for the good of the Empire.

- Per Frederickson - Contact representative of the Pirate Collective seeking to pushlish the leaked documents and alien technology.

- Tollen Torayn : One of the most powerful and feared arms dealers in the quadrant. He supplies fighters and weapons to nearly every syndicate, and often for various governments who value plausible deniability for black operations. He has frequently hired Kirk and Mickey for some of the hardest and most dangerou jobs, but often also the most morally questionable.

- Ja'Kar, the Dishonored: A mercenary Klingon. Leader of the Dishonored, a violent mercenary group for hire composed mostly of Klingons banished from the Empire due their dishonorable actions. Seeks the missing technology and Collins at the behest of the Sa'Ko'bey (the Shadows), who frequently make use of the Dishonored for exactly these kinds of missions outside of Klingon space.

Used AI assistance to bring Jamie L Kirk and Mickey to life. Also below is there ship, the "Black Hawk". Also covered in the Trek Art forum.

Tollen Torayn:

The Basic idea: To explain Red Angel timesuits, Insterstellar beaming, experimental Warp jump technologies and other seemingly anachronistic high tech in Kelvin movies and DiscoTrek, we are leveraging the story elements of "Regeneration" to say that recovered Borg tech is being reverse engineered, and as decades pass, more and more radical breakthroughs change history.

Specifically, Section 31 went back to retrieve the Borg bodies blown into space by Archer and recover all the wreckage of the partly assimilated Earth Science vessel. A number of civilian scientists worked on the project of analyzing the alien artifacts. As in Terminator 2, if anyone asks where this came from, they are told some version of "dont ask".

Section 31 however, sees an opportunity to use the Borg nano tech to unleash unstoppable bio-tech weapons to exterminate Federation enemies. When one of those scientists (Karen Collins) is able to piece that together, she decides to become a whistleblower and to leak this information to the general public. She reaches out to the Pirate Collective, which is well known for publishing and publicizing leaked documents pertaining to clandestine government operations.

Collins disappears, with some of her work and her family, and the search for her and the highly sought after technology will involve Section 31, Federation law enforcement, Klingons, Romulans and various syndicates and arms dealers. Collins one hope to get to safety and present her data and technology is Jamie Lynn Kirk. JL Kirk is initially hired to find Collins for the notorious arms dealer Tollen Torayn, but a choice must be made by Kirk to deliver Collins and her tech to Torayn or help Collins complete their mission to tell the truth to the whole quadrant.

Actual story text needs more work before being posted. Stay tuned.
