Simon Pegg source material for Beyond movie

Well, if Mr. Pegg does it correctly, the end credits are going to be very long!!! :techman:

Fan contribution...I like knowing that!

Simon Pegg said he and his co writer used Memory Alpha website as a source while writing the new movie. I thought you might like to read this article

Pegg and Jung's use of both the Memory Alpha wiki and knowledgeable members of the MA staff as resources to research and to find seeds for story ideas during the process of writing the script has come up a couple of times before. Here's one mention of it from a thread in this forum, back in December (direct link to the interview referenced,) and I'm certain I saw at least one other allusion to it much earlier on - while the actual writing was underway, well before filming was due to begin.

[EDIT: Not quite that far back, but here's a TrekCore piece from July, in which Simon says, of Memory Alpha: “I’ve got to say the Star Trek Wikipedia, Memory Alpha, which is online, has been so helpful. If you need to know what’s inside of a photon torpedo, there it is online, because there are so many dedicated fans out there who have such a vast knowledge of the universe and the minutia of it.”]

I bet those "...many dedicated fans..." would get a kick out of seeing their names in the Credits, if the contributions could be verified back to them. :bolian:

Do we give him...Full... access?. Even to TNZ?
Perhaps not...at first...but then...

Back in the days when I was watching LOST I belonged to The Fuselage which was a board owned by J.J. Abrams. The writers, actors and production people would show up from time to time and chat. Jorge Garcia (Hurley) was a regular and Dom Moneghan would pop up from time to time. It was great. I don't remember JJ showing up but then he basically left the show in all but name during the first season.
