Anyone familiar with author Harry Harrison's Stainless Steel Rat series?

It has everything, romance, comedy, action and of course the thrill of a heist.

I am simultaneously wishing it would be produced as a movie and at yet dreading Hollywood butchering it script and casting wise.

Who wishes it could be adapted into a movie?

If you're hoping that some independent will do it, you're wrong-a movie like this can only be made by a big studio, or it would look mediocre as heck.
