Archer stands still, gazing out the window, takes a deep breath, and turns to Daniels.
Archer: Did I hear you right? We're trapped here? What did you do?
Daniels: It wasn’t my choice. I was instructed to bring you to our time because we had no other way to prevent you from being captured by Silik.
Archer: I don’t get it. We followed your orders perfectly, so why did Silik come after us when you said he wouldn’t? What’s his obsession with me and my ship?
Daniels: I can’t say for sure, but we thought that by removing you from your time just before you boarded his ship, we could buy ourselves some time to figure this out with your help.
Archer: It seems like everything has gone wrong since we first tried to help you capture silik back at the nebula, and you never really gave me a clear answer back then. Can you shed some light on this now? Don’t I deserve to know the truth?
Daniels: Alright, I suppose telling you won’t make things any worse now. But it’s complicated. From our perspective, history shows that your ship was destroyed at that nebula, and because of Silik’s actions, everything that followed has altered the timeline.
Archer: And what’s the problem with that? From where I stand, it’s an improvement over the original outcome!
Daniels: You don’t understand. The temporal accords require us to ensure that events unfold as they were meant to.
Archer: So why didn’t you? Why didn’t you go back and try again, and capture Silik at the nebula?
Daniels: We could have, but that wouldn’t have prevented them from sending someone else to change the timeline in another way. We need to capture silik, and figure out how to stop the people he's working for.....
After that day, my superiors decided against sending me back to try again. They wanted to understand why Silik has targeted your ship as crucial to the timeline, and we thought you could assist us with that.
Archer: I can't believe my ship could be so crucial. It's just one vessel, and how could my bringing me here lead to all this chaos? I'm just one person.
Daniels: Clearly, you and your ship hold more significance for the future than we realized.
Archer: Silik once mentioned he had a lot of knowledge about me. Could it be that the people he works for orchestrated this situation for both of us?
Daniels: I'm not sure, but we need to figure out how to get you back to your ship and me back to my time so we can fix this mess...
Archer: Absolutely. But we have another problem first. We need to find food and water, or we won't last long here. Let's get moving!
