Sensa - Anyone Tried It?

So I could stand to lose a couple of pounds. I'm seeing ads for this new "Sensa" thing as the latest and greatest weight-loss product. I know nothing beats regular exercise and try to take walks as much as I can, but I was simply curious if anyone out there had tried it. Does it do what it claims or is it powdered tumor? Here's the executive summary from their site:
The scientific principle behind SENSA® is remarkably simple. As you eat, smell and taste receptors send messages that tell your body it's time to stop eating. This is a phenomenon we call Sensory Specific Satiety. By enhancing smell, SENSA® Tastants were designed to help speed up the process and trigger your "I feel full" signal, so you eat less and feel more satisfied. Because SENSA® works with your body's natural impulses, rather than against them, there are no feelings of hunger or intense cravings.

I briefly considered it, but every review I read said it just doesn't work.

For weight loss, I've had some success with calorie counting and daily exercise. For calorie counting, I use a free app I downloaded for my phone. I tried several, and settled on My Fitness Pal, which also has a website in case you're not into smart phones.

I suppose if you eat only when you're hungry in the first place, but you eat too much, it might help. But the many people who overeat for emotional reasons -- and I'm one of them -- aren't driven by hunger in the first place and won't necessarily stop just because their body feels full.
