It's been a bad week, hasn't it?

From CNN--
Actor Robert Conrad, known for the television show "The Wild Wild West," died Saturday of natural causes, at the age of 84, according to his family spokesperson Jeff Ballard.

Conrad died of heart failure in Malibu, California, a little less than a month before his 85th birthday, Ballard said.
"He lived a wonderfully long life and while the family is saddened by his passing, he will live forever in their hearts," Ballard said.

He starred in several TV productions, such as "Young Dillinger"Hawaiian Eye," "Centennial," and "Baa Baa Black Sheep," as well as countless films. He was also featured in a popular series of commercials for EverReady Batteries ("I dare you to knock this off.").

I've never seen much of Wild Wild West but one of my dad's favorite shows was Baa Baa Black Sheep. He liked watching it right up to the end. Rest in peace Mr. Conrad.

Another bit of my childhood disappears. The unflappable James West, the greatest Secret Service agent ever, has ridden off into the sunset in his cool train.

RIP, Robert Conrad. :(
