Different genera and species, so . . . yes, distinct enough. Interestingly, marine iguanas and Galapagos land iguanas are capable of interbreeding and producing hybrid offspring.(Sorry, I know it's another lizard. And I'm assuming this is distinct enough from @Kai "the Elf on the Shelf" 's marine iguana, but if not, let me know.)
