Remarkable Lines:

Discofan

Admiral
Admiral
Small statements, remarks, comebacks...etc, in the Series that you think are worth noticing for some reason.

Let me give you a few examples:

Jett Reno: "Get off my ass... Sir.
Get off my ass, sir!"

****************************

Saru: "Be extremely subtle, even to the point of formlessness.
Be extremely mysterious, even to the point of soundlessness..."

Georgiou:"...Thereby you can be the director of your opponent's fate." I am surprised a Kelpien, of all beings, has studied Sun Tzu.

Saru: I am surprised a terran is surprised by anything.

What about you?

I'm really tired so I don't really want to strain my memory trying to bring out deeper and more serious quotes (barring perhaps the Spock one), so my list of most memorable is mostly quips and one-liners.

"I don't give a damn, just get it done." & "I still don't give a damn." - just the perfect way to sum up Lorca's captaining style and basically his entire opinion about our Starfleet.

"First of all, uuuhm, so, I'm very hiiigh..." - seriously, I could just list most of what Tilly ever says, from "Computer, add salsa" through "If you greeted me that way, I'd cut out your tongue and use it to lick my boots" all the way up to that blindfolded drinking game and being owed a beer. That woman is a gift that keeps on giving. I'm among the minority for whom even the "fucking cool" line worked.

"You were inside my mind, yet you still need confirmation. Do you see murder here?" - it was one of the most powerful lines from Spock in If Memory Serves for me, a defining moment for his portrayal in the series, and a cathartic way of flipping the bird to all those who screamed character assassination because they took Control's forgery at face value.

"I hatched ready" - the best one-liner from Linus yet; I hope he keeps his good habit into Season 3.

"Number One. How long is this gonna take?" - the cause of my last bout of hysterical laughter during the season finale. Just the perfect way to rub in the investigator's face what exactly she's thinking about this entire questioning.

I like how Spock arrived on the bridge in a blue uniform, without his beard, met surprised looks and said, implying both a red signal and his new appearance:
"You've detected an anomaly, Captain?"
Was brilliant that Pike answered about seventh signal and in the same time nodded approvingly.

My favourite came early:

Saru: Her mutiny aside she is the smartest Starfleet officer I have ever known.
Lorca: [looks at Stamets] Huh. And he knows you.

Closely followed by the exchange about Mudd's criminal history in The Escape Artist.

I still think about the line from last season's "Despite Yourself" as a great commentary on all of history's tough-talkers, especially today's:

Terran strength is born out of pure necessity. Because they live in constant fear, always looking for the next knife aimed at their back. Their strength is painted rust. It’s a facade.

Really like Jett Reno, especially a scene, I don't remember the wording precisely, but Michael asks her how long it'll take to charge the crystal and then she asks her if she can cut that time in half and Reno's response was something like: "And violate the laws of physics?... NO!!"

She's the anti-Scotty who always bullshitted the Captain first so that he could look good by reducing the time...:D

Stamets: Tilly. You are incandescent. You're going to become a magnificent captain because you do everything out of love. But I need you to repeat after me.

Tilly: Okay.

Stamets: "I will say "

Tilly: "- I will say -"

Stamets:
"fewer things."

Tilly: " - fewer thi....." Okay.

In my opinion, we need more of these moments with Stamets mentoring Tilly. I think they can be a great pair.

I was just thinking the other day how there's something in Jett Reno's attitude that could make her just as great a mentor to Tilly as Stamets. Cue some of my favorite burns from her:

"You don't know me, Doc. I'm uninsultable. Especially by a guy who thinks he can run a ship on mushrooms that I pick of my pizza."

"I can fix that analogy with duct tape, too."

"It hurts like a bitch and it's one of two things currently impeding my work."

I think she could teach Tilly a lot about unapologetically being yourself and getting a generous dose of "I don't give a damn what others think." By Tilly's own admission, she starts going off on tangents when she's nervous and, extrapolating from my own experience, fully conscious of having caught herself with her foot in her mouth. If it's a confidence problem, learning not to be embarrassed by her own faux pas could help her be much more at ease among others. Not to mention Reno's confident disdain for all things formal; I think Tilly might be quite a bit envious that Reno can pull that off that with such ease (I think this can already be seen in her shocked "did she seriously just say that?" expression when Reno told Saru to get off her ass).

Sorry for going off on a tangent myself, I just noticed how Tilly always had some really hilarious reactions to Reno's snark.

Tilly has very funny moments like when she realizes that Georgiou was the Empress and she starts an imperial salute and Micael gives her a "don't do that" look.

That was funny as hell!

That was funny as hell!
Not simply giving her a look... before Tilly could even fully stretch out her arm, she whispers "don'tdothat" to her as quickly as she can.

Pike's "Get it done!" made me immediately think of Jellico. He also had to deal with a tense situation possibly leading to a fight.
