Kathline Quinilan is doing a good job in the role of Michael/Linc's mother.

Michael and Lincoln really are Sons of a Bitch. ;)

Decent episode, be interesting to see how this all wraps up in the next couple of weeks (plus the DTV movie.)

I've been very underwhelmed by the mother character, I don't know if it's the actress, the dialogue, or if it's just one plot twist too many. The only cool thing she's done was when she Michael-ed her way out of the bathroom. I've always been ga-ga for this show but this final batch just leaves me luke warm. I miss just going after General Krantz for Scylla, this is one twist too many. And now we find out Michael and Linc aren't even related!!! Normally I would complain about this soap opera twist but it actually makes a lot of sense; they look nothing alike, one's brilliant one's a lug, mother's favoritism, etc.

I don't see why the differences between Linc and Michael should "prove" they're not brothers. My brother and I look little alike and our personalites, interests and intelligences are different, too.

And just becasue Michael and Lincoln don't share blood doesn't mean they're not "related" or "not brothers." Lincoln raised and cared for Michael as a brother would and then some. Their relationship is very much family.

Michael himself said it best "he's more of a brother to me than you are a mother."

I'm just saying it's a plot twist that doesn't fly in the face of the first four years of the show. It's something I can buy. In my very limited experience, siblings usually look extremely similar. And I agree, it shouldn't change their relationship.

I must admit, the 'Mommy' episodes don't seem as good as the episodes that came before it. I can't make up my mind if the long break between those episodes are to blame or not.

Or maybe I'm just missing Gretchen.

Bleh, bad. Now they're flailing around in desperation with soapy antics, just padding things waiting for the series finale which at this point can't come soon enough.

Mommy Dearest intuits that Sarah is preggers - cmon, just because she crosses her arms over her belly? Maybe she has a stomach ache. :rommie:

Linc isn't Michael's' bio-brother? So what? There isn't enough time left to do anything with this notion, if there was anything interesting to do with it, to begin with.

I've been very underwhelmed by the mother character, I don't know if it's the actress, the dialogue, or if it's just one plot twist too many.
She's a phony character type, which is the problem with these grandiose conspiracy plotlines - they're so obviously not derived from real life but TV and movie writers cribbing from other TV and movie writers. The General even showed up as the main baddy on Jericho's grandiose conspiracy plotline - they're all interchangeable and they drag things down wherever they're introduced.

There's nothing about her that convinces me that she'd abandon her kids to go join some stupid bwahaha company and rule the world or whatever she thought she was doing. She's not a character, she's a plot device for whomping up some draaaama.

I like General Krantz, he's intelligent but ruthless and well played by the actor. He also has a little bit of a sense of humor in a twisted way. I think he's been a good Big Bad for the series.

I think the big problem is that they didn't show us/tell us enough about the parents life before Linc & Mike were adopted/born.

If they were both big time company agents/spies then having kids might have been an inconvenience. Or maybe it seemed like a good idea at the time, but faced with being "real" parents for 18 years, etc... just wasn't for them. They began resenting the kids, then just took off back to the exciting, powerful life of being an international super spy/agent.

That type of power and insider knowledge would be hard to give up. Especially if you are an ego maniac like teh Mother seems to be.
