Has anyone done any? I've seen a load on here in the past, and of course all over the web, such as the very cool 'Monster Grey's on DeviantART.

An alternative to the JJ Reboot design? Something for the future perhaps?

I created something for a web series I am developing. I sort of combined the TOS and movie-era styles.

Kaiser - My series will take place approximately a year after the events of Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. The Perseus is a "border" patrol ship assigned to help oversee the dismantling of the Neutral Zone. Her primary mission is diplomatic but she also packs a punch for those that wish to take advantage of the somewhat turbulent transition. The Klingon is a reluctant ambassador assigned to the ship.

reminds me of some of the early tng admirals uniforms.

but more importantly:

is that tellarite feeling up the blond woman?

^I always see uniforms done with that same pose/base drawing. Is there a template somewhere that everyone starts from?

yeah i've often wondered where these come from, and the body shapes always look a bit off to me somehow. in the future women will universally have tiny waists!

LOL...just some unfortunate positioning of the characters...well, except for the Tellarite having his arm around the woman. Although, his forearm is far too long. A Tellarite ability not known till now? ;-)

I think they originated in one of the books by the Okudas. Perhaps the Encyclopedia?

Yeah I think they came from the Encyclopedia.

I do remember one design which was basically the TOS unifom with what I can describe in a TNG aesthetic. Coloured stripes down the trouser legs. There was some black on each side under the arms. This is not from memory - I have a small pic of one of them.

Wow, a thread in Fan Art to which I can actually contribute!

Ever since I got, frankly, too old to wear a real TOS costume, I've been putting together something that would look good on me.

This can be had very cheaply.

This is a photomanip, but it can be had for about $50. One of these years I'm going to be able to cost-justify it ... ;)

Made these years ago, and then these next ones earlier this year for one of the monthly challenges:

I've posted these before ages ago, but I'll post them again nevertheless.

The red movie uniforms seemed always a bit too stiff and formal for everyday use, so I designed these slightly more casual class B uniforms:

Then I made a variant for early 24th century that partially explains how the red shifted to be the command colour. These are class B uniforms like the previous ones, the normal movie jacket would be worn on more formal occassions, but at this point it would be rarer, more like dress uniform really. Pattern is based on Kirk's vest, and undershirt colours are in TNG deparntment colours, with the exeption of command being still white with the red trouser stripe like in the movies. Hovever, while others wear grey jackets, the captain and possibly the first officer are distinguished by a red jacket.

These are old and not how I'd do them now, but here they are nevertheless:

These are utility jumpsuit to go with the grey class B. Possibly for enlisted personnel:

I remember these were my favourite.

I designed a series of uniforms based on the TNG styling, using the TOS movie-era jacket. The images below were designed by me, but actually drawn by Starscape, who did an excellent job, btw. This would be the uniform that takes the place of the TNG 3rd season uniform in an alternate TNG reality.

Here are mine:

Basically, the TNG styling with the Movie jacket. The undershirts:
