Like a Prayer.

Only because it reminds me of a very wonderful summer spent in England, studying Shakespeare and just generally seeing the country as much as I could. There was a guy in the college--all Americans and Canadians doing the "summer abroad" thing--and he was OBSESSED with Madonna. He had this boom box and blasted the song over and over at our end of summer party. It was my first--and only, actually---toga party, and it was a blast!

So, it always makes me think of all these people dressed in pink bedsheets, with wreaths in their hair, dancing around like idiots on a warm night, knowing we'd never see each other again.

Old school Madonna is better than current Madonna, I think. Not really a fan, but I'd have to say "Borderline" and "Lucky Star" would be my picks. Reminds me of the summer of '84, when I'd spend a lot of time at my cousins' house. And honorable mention goes to "Baby Love" by Regina, the best Madonna song Madonna never made.

I think she jumped the shark when she did a rap song.

I do give her credit for being able to make a large fanbase out of teenage girls and gay men. Something not easily done. She's got great business savvy.

Not much of a fan, but I always thought "Vogue" was kinda catchy. I absolutely hated her butchering of "America Pie" and that awful, awful Bond song she did for that horrible movie "Die Another Day."
