nominate characters for Marvel movies!

Other than the ones in active development (Doctor Strange), what Marvel characters need to be introduced and/or have their own movies in the expanded Marvel universe, either new or rebooted? (Meaning, anyone you nominate with an existing, ongoing franchise is going to get a reboot.)

When I get the nominees, I'll do a poll.

List of Marvel-based movies (with studios noted) - you can nominate any for a reboot if you so desire.

Fantastic Four (reboot from FOX version and bring them into the expanded Marvel universe)
X-Men (reboot from FOX version and bring them into the expanded Marvel universe)
The Inhumans (new)
The Sub-Mariner (new)
Warlock (haw, fat chance! but this poll isn't about the likelihood of anything happening for real)
Captain Marvel (new)
Kree & Skrulls (new)

Spider-Man is gonna need a re-reboot to return to Tobey Maguire, but I'm not sure how to handle this situation in the poll so I'll ignore it.

So this is partly a fantasy list then since Marvel is in no way going to be able to acquire most of those franchises at the moment? Out of those listed that I'd love to see Marvel purchase the rights to is "Fantastic Four". The FF need to be part of the cinematic universe.

It's been rumored that the Skrulls are going to be in "Avengers" so we don't need to worry about them. It'd be cool to see the Kree. "Sub-Mariner" as I have indicated in other threads expect a Namor movie to be announced pretty soon. Everything else on that list is implausible at the moment.

I admit to a weakness for the spooky, horror-type characters.

I think there was talk of using Michael as a villain in the "Blade" reboot. I know he was brought up as a possible villain in "Spider-Man 4" by Rami himself. As always it seems to be a question of who owns these characters. That's why these types of threads are difficult to discuss in a realistic manner lol.

Namor The Sub-Mariner would be great. Especially since he's affiliated with the X-Men now. Agents of Atlas if they want to bring in some more characters.

Exactly, don't worry about plausibility or likelihood on any legal or commercial basis. That would rule out too much, and I want to be able to vote for Warlock.

Rumors aren't solid, so I'll include them. (And separate from the Kree, tho I always think of them in tandem.) Unless there's a Sub-Mariner movie announcement before I get the poll up, he's in too.

I would love to have the plot of "Avengers 2" be a Kree/Skull war. It'd be ambitious, bold, and a perfect combination of superheroes and science fiction. You could introduce them through a Captain Marvel film (I think you'd probably have to use the Noh-Varr or Marvel Boy version) with perhaps a shout out to his father.

Deadpool! Thunderbolts, but that would be hard to do in a single movie since you wouldn't already know them as villains.

How about a multi movie series showing Avengers Dissembled, Civil War, The Initiative, World War Hulk, Secret Invasion, Dark Reign, Siege. Yeah, that'll happen

There was a report last year that a Civil War scenario is exactly what Marvel Studios is planning towards in 2015. I don't remember the exact article but it caused quite the stir here. I don't think that particular development would be able to work when your universe is missing so many key characters. This is still a relatively young world where superheroes are still emerging and making their connections with themselves.

I've heard rumors of a Runaways movie - I'd love to see that one.
NYX was a really awesome book and storyline - at least for a while, especially with X-23!
Spider-Girl, obviously needs to be made.

Given how the auidence reacted to the last two Hulk movies, I would not be in any rush to make another one. Heck im not sure he should even be in the Avengers movie.

Especially if it's my version of Spider-Girl, an alternate universe scenario in which Peter was born female, and grow up to become a mid-20s lipstick lesb -

Otherwise, I want more X-Men: First Class, and a non-sucky FF would be cool. Everything else, including the Webb Spider-Man project, I'm totally pleased with. The MCU is running 5/5, and there's other good stuff to look forward to (The Wolverine) to boot.

I'll admit I'm not very familiar with the characters yet, but it would be pretty cool to get a better quality Fantastic Four reboot. I'll admit I've got a thing for female heroes (I'm a big fan of Alias, and the Buffy and Terminator franchises) so I'd love to see something focused on a female superhero, like maybe Spider-Woman, or Ms. Marvel. From what I've read they seem be two of the most high profile solo (mostly) female heroes from Marvel's lineup.

I'd love having Spider-Woman or Ms. Marvel included in a future "Avengers" movie, or even one of their own solo projects. Spider-Woman in particular, Jessica has a lot of potential given her character's back story. Same with Carol as well.
