New Years Eve movies

I was just thinking, there are tonnes of Christmas themed films, but how many New Years Eve themed movies are there?
ie where the event of New Years Eve plays either a large or at least some part of the plot.

To be honest the only thing I can think of off the top of my head is Ghostbusters 2, with Vigo due to return at the strike of midnight.
There must be others! Anyone think?

ooh I just thought as I writing this- End of Days, Arnie vs the Devil

they are cartoons , but you do have Charlie Brown's New Year and you also have Rudolph's Shining New Year. Two great cartoons:cool:

Not sure if it counts, but I think the cyberpunk thriller Strange Days could kind of be seen as a "New Year's Eve movie". It was released in 1995 and is set during the last days of 1999, IIRC.

One that I watch most New Years Eves is When Harry Met Sally. It still makes me laugh. A couple of scenes happen on New Years.
That reminds me. I have to go to the store and get some Mallomars

The only New Years Eve movie I can think of was Forrest Gump, but that's probably because they celebrated New Years Eve I think twice.

Oh yeah I thought of another, The Time Traveler's Wife. With what happens at their New Years Eve party :(

Entrapment is one of my favorite movies of all time and it includes the turn of the millennium, Dec. 31, 1999, as part of the plot.

THE HOLIDAY, with Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz, ends on New Year's Eve. (By coincidence, we watched it last night.)

"Last Night" is a nice little low-key Canadian indie movie about the end of the world that has a bit of an end-of-the-year feel due to its time of occurrence. Instead of the massive destruction that other end of the year movies deal with, it simply shows how a small group of characters sort of their issues out in reaction to the impending apocalypse without ever explaining why it's going to take place and barely even showing how it takes place (save for a very a brief bit at the end).
