New Charlie Brooker Show on C4

It looks like Channel 4 are working with Charlie Brooker again, this time on a comedy chat show about TV, by the sounds of it.
From Digital Spy

Charlie Brooker is to host a new comedy discussion show about TV for Channel 4, it has been announced.
You Have Been Watching will feature the highs and lows of programming both in the UK and worldwide.
Each week, the Dead Set writer will offer his interpretation on the world of television before quizzing his celebrity guests on the week's TV shows.
Commissioning editor Darren Smith said of the new series: “Charlie Brooker is absurdly talented, and after the success of Dead Set we are only too happy to be working with him again."

More Brooker is good. That is all.

BTW - Funny that they call him the Dead Set writer and don't mention his Beeb stuff. Are Digital Spy not unbiased towards the Beeb? Mind you - this new show looks like Screenwipe + Celebs, so....

That it does. I suppose since it's for 4 and Deadset was also for 4 then they're just highlighting his previous work for them...

A panel show about TV shows? That's getting into snake eating its own tail territory.

well the promo for it is very screenwipe, as to how good this show will be is anyones guess

Even the concept of "selling out" is just, well, it's a metric cockton of nonsense is what it is. He's a broadcaster, a producer (co-founder of Zeppotron, no less) and an all round TV personality, albeit one with an edge.

Making TV shows is HIS FUCKING JOB.

Did he sell out when he wrote "Dead Set"?
um no, that was a quality drama and he even got E4 to air it minus the DOG (yet somehow I knew it was on E4) I dont know I just think he is better than have "celebrity's" on his show, if all his panellists are funny then it might be ok but if he just has people who are celebrity's and not comedians it will be another matter.

And apparently episode 2 will feature this week's Torchwood. Should be interesting...
