Gave it an excellent. :bolian:

So many good parts in this episode! I loved when Gibbs rambled about his theory as to who did the killing and Ziva said, "I've just never heard you talk that much at one time, or in a year". It's true. I love when he talks and he doesn't talk near enough for me. Although, to be honest, he's such a great actor that he doesn't have to say much to get his point across.

I loved that Gibbs participated in the "camp fire". I thought for a minute that he wasn't going to, but I loved that he did.

All in all, great episode as always. :)

P.S. Great pic Aragorn. :bolian:

^ I really liked it when he called his own Campfire with Tony. That was funny.

Or Abby making Tony wear the Trainee tag.

Yep! And when Abby interrupted and said, "I hope I'm not interrupting but if I am, I hope someone will tell me about it".:lol:

Was this actually a follow-up episode with returning characters?

Or is this another "here's my bestest friend you've never seen before and I've never mentioned before, but he's going to turn out to be the bad guy" type of writing job?

I just finished watching it on the CBS site. I give this one an excellent for wonderful banter and great character moments. I really enjoyed Gibbs and DiNozzo switching roles. I think my favorite moment was when Abby interrupts Gibbs and DiNozzo's private 'campfire' where DiNozzo is unsure of himself and Gibbs tells him "Give me my phone back." DiNozzo straightens himself showing he's going to continue to take the lead and Gibbs gives him this wonderful "Atta Boy!" look full of pride before walking away to continue working his 'assignment.'

I also loved the moment where Gibbs laid out his theory leaving McGee and Ziva stunned because they've never heard him say that much at one time before. He just answers that it wasn't his job. LOL!

I was very intrigued by the scene between DiNozzo and Palmer. Is Palmer being groomed to be DiNozzo's Ducky someday?

Warmest Wishes,
Whoa Nellie

I'm fairly sure that the characters were new, simply because the show doesn't do normal "boring" cases like embezzlement.

It was a good episode and I liked the way it wrapped up. Gibbs' scene where he discusses what he thinks is going on was ace and the high point of the episode for me.

Yeah, after I posted I realized this wasn't a followup episode... because Gibbs left for Mexico for the season finale and was already back in the season premiere.

Loved this one, and gave it an 'excellent'. The story was fairly interesting, but the big event here was the Gibbs/DiNozzo role reversal. That was hilarious.

Did you see the look on Gibbs face when Tony called a campfire?

That alone was worth an 'excellent' rating.

But I was really happy that Gibbs told Tony that he'd done a good job. Coming from Gibbs, that musta made Tony's YEAR.

I gave the episode only an above average.

I was disappointed. Dinozo and Gibbs trading roles wasn't as clear as the pre episode hype made it out to be.

I get the impression that this was one of those episodes that "sounded great as a script".

There are some great moments though. I can't remember Gibbs ever calling Dinozo "Anthony".

And the scene where Dinozo uses Palmer for a sounding board. Though I didn't really understand it. It rather gives the impression that Dinozo goes to Palmer as a kind of "cut rate Ducky" because he doesn't have the relationship Gibbs has with Ducky.

I gave it an excellent. Neat twists and turns and I also like Gibbs turning the reins over to Tony.

BUT... I didn't like the way it ended.
I appreciate the fact that Tony felt guilty about sending an innocent man to prison, but letting him fly to the Caymans to collect the embezzled money? NO. That was taxpayer money ... it should have been returned to the Pentagon and then Mr. Innocent could sue the government for wrongful prosecution.

Well, maybe this will come back to bite Tony in a future episode.

...Yeah, I don't see it happening, either.

Just watched it tonight. Good story and well acted from the cast. My favorite part was Tony's last interragation when Gibb's jumped in the betting they do (and won it) when the bet is usually about him.

I gave it below Average which I honestly love NCIS and I never have given it anything below above average before but this episode did nothing for me.
