And thanks to RJDiogenes, I'm reminded of the Far Side comic with the guy in Hell being pitch-forked at two doors, one marked "Damned if You Do" and the other "Damned if You Don't", with the Devil telling him something like, "Come on, it's one or the other!"

RJDiogenes, make sure you have the two books (I assume you have all the big volumes):

The PreHistory of the Far Side
It's a big book full of sketches, his early comic that spawned the FS, rejected comics, story of people completely confused and angry letters about misinterpretations, and more.


And Last Chapter and Worse
It contains the last comics he did before he hung the series up, plus something like 30 more he drew after-the-fact, that were of course never published (fully drawn, no sketches there).

Yes, thank you, I love that strip. I have it on my GoComics list. It seems to become more and more Far Side-like as time goes on. Another strip that seems to be emulating Far Side is 1 and Done.
