I'll admit it, I've been having a hard time finding the creative energy to come up with a new theme. So what's a Canadian to talk about when they can't think of anything else? Why, the weather, of course!
Around here, the summer heat and humidity is just starting to kick in. The southern hemisphere is officially beginning winter in about a week. And climate change seems to be driving more extreme weather events just in general. Weather affects all of us, so let's make some avatars about it!
The standard avatar contest rules apply: images must be no more than 200 x 200 pixels and 1 MB, and they must be SFW. In general, no media images are allowed, but images from news programs or documentaries are OK. Each entrant may enter up to three avatars. The contest will be open for about a week... probably a little bit more, since there is a board outage coming up. I'll tentatively aim the poll for a week from Sunday.
I know there's only so many different weather types to go around, so it's OK if types are repeated. (For example, it's perfectly fine to have more than one entry depicting "rainy" or "sunny" or whatever.) If you're entering a weather type that has already been entered, just please try to make your image artistically distinct.
Have fun!
