This week's contest is devoted to apes and monkeys of all shapes and sizes (but not the band). Enter any avatar showing a picture of gorillas, apes, chimps, monkeys, orangutans, bonobos, etc. No pictures from fictional shows or movies, please. You may enter up to three. Standard av rules apply--200 x 200 pixels max, 1 MB max and keep it work/Google safe. I'll put the poll up on the 22nd or thereabouts.

I won the last one so I will only enter two.

So, it didn't say anything about this in the rules, but everyone who has entered so far seems to have made sure to enter a unique monkey type. Was that the intention? I don't really know enough about monkey types to know if there are still more out there that haven't been entered. I pretty much just tried to look for monkey images where the image itself is unique to what has already been entered, not necessarily the monkey type. I don't really even know what these are (although I suspect #1 and #3 are chimpanzees).

If this doesn't work, please let me know, and sorry for misunderstanding the assignment.

You're good. It's any image of a monkey, chimp, gorilla, baboon, etc. I'll even accept other primates like lemurs. It's close enough. Is the surprised one--the second one-- a Macaque?

I wasn't sure when I posted it, but in doing some image searches, it looks like you might be right, and it could be a Japanese Macaque. (Apparently there are other varieties of macaque that look nothing like it, though.)
